It is not very often that you see a coach fired when his team has the best record in its conference (in fact,
it is unprecedented) but alas, that is the situation that we have in Cleveland. The Cavaliers, who sit atop the Eastern Conference with a record of 30-11,
have fired head coach David Blatt. Assistant coach Tyronn Lue, Blatt's top assistant and who also interviewed for the job when Blatt was hired, will take the reins.
We do know why the Cavaliers have made this move but that does not make it any more unusual or, frankly, bizarre.
