  2. Brad Nessler supposed to call NFL selected games, but he had a schedule conflicting.

    1. Nessler did not call a single NFL Game this season.

  3. That was supposed to be the plan, but it never quite came to fruition for Brad Nessler calling NFL games in addition to some SEC Football & NCAA Basketball on CBS. It's my understanding that Nessler will be calling the Sun Bowl this Friday afternoon with Gary Danielson & Allie LaForce in El Paso, TX. For what that's worth. I think the only question regards the AFC West on this final NFL regular season weekend. Who will be the #2 seed as Division Champion? Who will be the #5 seed and playing on Wildcard Weekend? I think those are the only real questions remaining. We know the Patriots, Raiders, Steelers, Texans, Chiefs & Dolphins will be playing beyond this Sunday.

  4. Patriots vs Dolphfins kind of needs to be a 425 game not Chiefs vs Chargers

    2. Anonymous Who said Chargers and chiefs. San Diego is a pacific location. So of course they play at 4:15.

    3. West coast has to be 4:25 eastern time.

    5. Dolphins-Pats definitely the biggest game of all of the CBS games, but they also have to take time zones into account while still trying to offer a reasonably attractive game to much of the nation in both time slots and have some balance as to not divvy up the most important games into one start time - add the special nuance of the final week where the NFL tries to make sure there aren't unfair advantages of one team being able to "scoreboard watch" a game in an earlier time slot, so that if things turn out their way, the team in the later slot can rest players.
Dolphins-Pats is somewhat strange but is logistically fine to put at 1 pm although the Dolphins can catch the Chiefs for #5 (what an incentive being able to play Houston on wildcard weekend and not at Pitt.!), and a Pats' win prevents Oakland from having a window in which to move up to the #1 seed, KC and Oakland still would be vying for the division and a bye.

  5. Kind of surprised no games switched networks, you'd think some games would cross over to allow viewership in other markets, did not happen though.

  6. Feel bad for the best of the bunch but relegated to 4th team on CBS....Harlan & Gannon get Browns vs Steelers JV team.

  7. As if the Jets season was not bad enough, but now the awful Catalon, Tasker and Beurlein team calling the Jets finale?! I wish McCarthy and Archuleta or Blackburn and Simms got stuck calling this clunker game, as they are better to listen to compared to the Catalon team.
