  1. Hi Ben
Is Pitt at Cincy really the Primary early game on CBS? Surely Tennessee at KC would be the obvious Eagle-Fouts game given that both teams are right in the thick of things, which is certainly NOT the case with Cincinnati. CBS are definitely missing a trick with this one.

    1. Yes Tennessee at KC features 2 teams with good records, but good records do not always mean more viewers are interested. And, I'd honestly say Cincy has a better shot at beating Pittsburgh than Tennessee has at beating KC.

    2. Pittsburgh = ratings for east coast markets. Plus as Lonestar stated Cincy better chance of winning plus it's a divisional rival and those games are always fun.

  2. Spero Dedes & Solomon Wilcots are calling Raiders vs Chargers Solomon Wilcots confirmed on Twitter

    1. Maybe with a sideline reporter? Their team had one the last time they called a Raiders game.

  3. Any idea who is calling the Saturday night Jets vs. Dolphins game on NFL Network?

    1. Probably Ian eagle and Dan Fouts I'm not sure though

      Delete
    2. Mike Tirico and Doug Flutie have the game. Michaels and Collinsworth have the Thu and Sun night games on NBC

      Delete
    3. That is an odd team of Tirico, who I like with Flutie?! I know he does the Fighting Irish games, but that is an odd pairing. Too bad it was not like last year when Eagle and Fouts or Harlan and Gannon got this game. If Gumbel and Green are punished with the Bills game on Sunday, they could have done this game on Saturday, since it was close by if this was not an NBC game.

    4. Well no not really Mike & Doug did Notre Dame home games earlier this year

      Delete
    5. Well where did you find this outside of Wikipedia

      Delete
    6. 506 maps confirmed earlier in the year that Tirico was gonna call 4 games for NBC in place of Al Michaels (GB-WSH PIT-IND KC-DEN and NYG-PHI) and 2 games for NFLN in the December month (MIA-NYJ and BAL-PIT)

      Delete
    7. Ben has the listings for all the national games on a separate page http://www.bflo360.com/2016/04/2016-thursday-night-football-schedule.html Tirico and Collinsworth are calling the Giants Eagles game in week 16, and Tirico and Flutie are calling Ravens Steelers on Christmas day

      Delete
    8. Even if they did Notre Dame games earlier this year still an odd pairing. I would put Tirico for this game, in addition to the Christmas game with Collinsworth, since that would eventually be the Sunday Night Football team when Al Michaels retires. An odd team to be calling an NFL game.

    9. Shoukd keep Tirico on pregame and let Tom Hammond or even Dan Hicks (although he may have Golf Channel committment) call the game.

      Delete
    10. Tom is all but retired focusing on horse racing & Olympics when they happen plus NBC doesn't want Dan unless it's absolutely necessary in case of an emergency

  4. Looks like the seven team or the horrible Catalon and Steves team will be punished with The Browns/Bills clunker game of the week.

  5. I was thinking the same thing with Andrew Catalon, Steve Tasker & Steve Beuerlein getting Browns/Bills. They're the #6 team on the "NFL on CBS" depth chart. I have to think the #3 crew of Greg Gumbel, Trent Green & Jamie Erdahl will get a much better game than Jets/49ers Sunday. One thing is certain. Patriots/Broncos...You know Jim Nantz, Phil Simms & Tracy Wolfson wouldn't miss it for the world.

    1. I have to disagree about where the A team should go..maybe Raiders/Chargers for once?

      Delete
  6. I think Greg Gumbel, Trent Green and Jamie Erdahl are calling the Browns-Bills game because I looked on Twitter and found a tweet from Tracy Wolfson's twitter account forwarded to Jamie Erdahl that says "Your Turn" #Buffalo #StayWarm

  7. While Buffalo is still in the playoff race (barely and hopefully Rex Ryan gets fired in Buffalo) Gumbel and Green should not get this game, as they should get Raiders/Chargers, with at least one good team playing not Dedes and Wilcots. Browns and Bills has the Catalon team or the seven team written all over it.

  8. Hello I'm a Colts fan and I was wondering does anyone know who is calling the Colts @ Vikings matchup?

    ReplyDelete
  9. I would say Colts and Vikings could be Harlan and Gannon.

    1. Thanks for letting me know. I had Harlan and Gannon this past week too. But it could be Gumble and Green also.

  10. I'm a Vikings fan. Does anyone who's calling the game it US Bank. Harlan,Gannon/Eagle, Fouts/Gumbel, Green. I know their are a few good games on CBS

  12. Oh Dear God, Gary Danielson! The man never shuts up during SEC on CBS broadcasts and is as annoying as Phil Simms. I like Brad Nessler and liked Uncle Verne but Danielson is like nails on a blackboard. Too bad before he retired, Uncle Verne did not get to call some NFL on CBS games like he used to.

  14. My predictions for this week:
    1:00 PM

    Steelers-Bengals: Ian Eagle/ Dan Fouts
    Titans-Chiefs: Kevin Harlan/Rich Gannon
    Colts-Vikings: Greg Gumbel/Trent Green
Jaguars-Texans: Brad Nessler/Gary Danielson crew (?) or Tom McCarthy/Adam Archuleta
    Browns-Bills: Andrew Catalon/Steve Beuerlein/Steve Tasker

    4:25 PM
Patriots-Broncos: Jim Nantz/Phil Simms and Tracy Wolfson (already confirmed)
    Raiders-Chargers: Spero Dedes/Solomon Wilcotts

    1. I like the predictions except that I think Titans/Chiefs should be Gumbel and Green and that Colts/Vikings be Harlan and Gannon. It would be interesting if Nessler and Danielson a game this week, but that would be hopefully doubtful. I agree Browns/Bills should get the Catalon team or the McCarthy/Archuleta team as it is an awful match up. CBS does not release its announcer pairings as quick as FOX does each week, which is ridiculous. Simms and Nantz are getting their two favorite teams this week! I would love for them to get the clunker Browns/Bills or Jaguars games for once, even if they are the "A" team.

  15. Guys you guys need to start giving proof of whose calling games via Twitter or the announcers websites not who you feel will call that game lol

  17. https://twitter.com/RichGannon12/status/808711050950561798 Kevin Harlan, Rich Gannon and Stacey Dales are doing Indianapolis-Minnesota

  18. I noticed Browns/Bills still doesn't have a broadcast team for Sunday. I have to think Brad Nessler has NCAA Basketball on his plate Saturday afternoon, considering CBS Sports has a tripleheader of games on their air. I have to think Nessler will be calling Memphis/Oklahoma or the 2 games in Las Vegas that make up the 3rd Annual "CBS Sports Classic" with Ohio State/UCLA & Kentucky/North Carolina. From where I'm at in Chicago, we don't get to hear Tom McCarthy's voice that much unless it's a game on CBS Sports Network or nationally via Westwood One. This is just a guess, but I have to think McCarthy & Adam Archuleta are stuck with the Cleveland/Buffalo game Sunday.

    ReplyDelete
  19. At least Gumbel and Green have a good game this week.

    ReplyDelete
  20. mccarthey and archuleta are in buffalo

    ReplyDelete
  21. Sorry to hear that it looks like T-Mac and Archuleta details CKE/BUF. T-Mac sees enough bad sports doing the Phillies play by play. Nice to see CBS Sports Network using him more in the non baseball seasons as he is a talented basketball man too.

  22. https://nflcommunications.com/Pages/Week-14---NFL-Capsules-2016.aspx Cleveland-Buffalo has Tom McCarthy, Adam Archuleta and Kevin Manuel on the call

    ReplyDelete
  23. The Raiders Chargers game not being shown in LA ? How can that be 😱

    ReplyDelete
  24. FOX has better play by play men, but CBS has the better color analysts (although K. Harlan is good). So Eagle-Fouts doing Steelers-Bengals I will listen to the radio, but maybe give the 3rd quarter to TV and Fouts.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Here are my projections for the NFL on CBS announcers for Christmas Eve Football:

    Dolphins/Bills - Eagle/Fouts
    Titans/Jaguars - Gumbel/Green
    Colts/Raiders - Nantz/Simms
    Chargers/Browns - Dedes/Wilcots
    Jets/Patriots - Harlon/Gannon

  26. Scott Kaplan was the sideline reporter for the Raiders at a Chargers game.
