2016 College Football Playoff Semifinals Predictions

Make sure to leave some room for football in your New Year's Eve celebrations as the much-anticipated College Football Playoff semifinals will be held this Saturday night in Atlanta and in Glendale, AZ. Only two teams can survive and advance to the National Championship Game in Tampa on January 9th, who will it be? It's time for my predictions.

Announcers

New Year's Eve - Saturday, December 31st
Alabama (13-0) vs. 4 Washington (12-1) - ESPN, 3:00
Alabama Crimson Tide (2001 - Pres)Washington Huskies (2001 - 2011)
Could Washington upset Alabama? Sure, I think they very well could. This is a really good team powered by a great quarterback-receiver pairing in Jake Browning and John Ross as well as one of the top defenses in the country. But just because I think they could win the game does not mean I think they will because simply put, I believe that the Tide are head and shoulders above everybody else.
Alabama 35 Washington 21

Clemson (12-1) vs. 3 Ohio State (11-1) - ESPN, 7:00
Clemson Tigers (1977 - Pres)Fiesta Bowl (2016 - Pres)Ohio State Buckeyes (1987 - Pres)

Clemson has been there and done it before, they have one of the finest quarterbacks in the nation and plenty of talent at the skill positions on offense. They are good enough to give Ohio State trouble defensively and all in all, they are a team that may have what it takes to upset Alabama. But they will not get that chance because Ohio State will win here. I think that the Buckeyes are better than the Tigers are defensively and I think a focus on their rushing attack will help to keep the score low and more in their favor.
Ohio State 19 Clemson 17

    1. Who is Joe Davis? Sam Rosen is lucky he has NY Ranger commitments so he doesn't have to see the trainwreck that is the 49ers.

    2. They haven't been posted because I haven't had listing to go off of but I do know, hence why I'm doing it right now.

And if you had read my CBS and Fox schedules, you would have seen that those had all the information you shared above.

  2. Ben I shared this BEFORE you posted it and it was on the 506 map yesterday, so that should have been published before I had to.

    1. What? The maps came out today. I posted the announcers yesterday on the CBS and Fox pages so I have no idea what you're referring to.

  3. Sorry, Ben, but you are wrong. The maps did come out today, but the announcers were posted BEFORE the maps came out yesterday on the 506 website, which was on Tuesday, so you were behind a day posting it. So once again, the 506 website on Tuesday did not have the maps up but DID have the announcers listed for all of the games before they put the maps up.

    1. This is good trolling.

You are ignoring the fact that I had the announcers posted on each network page and that was on Tuesday when I saw they were confirmed in the forums. I also don't post the distribution pages if I have nothing to go off of so I was holding off until I got the maps before I posted it. But if you wanted to see the announcers you could have checked both of these links:
