2016 College Football Predictions: Week 13

(AP Photo)
As we celebrate Thanksgiving as well as what is generally, in my opinion, the best week of football of the year, we get to enjoy some tremendous college games this week as the regular season winds down. Key conference contests are on tap across the nation, including the much-anticipated tilts in Pullman, Colorado Springs, Kalamazoo, Columbus, Tuscaloosa, Madison, Boulder, Tallahassee, Albuquerque and elsewhere.

Who will win this week? Here are my picks.

Tuesday, November 22nd
Akron (5-6) vs. Ohio (7-4) - ESPNU, 7:00
Pick: Ohio

Ball State (4-7) vs. Miami (OH) (5-6) - ESPN3, 7:00
Pick: Miami (OH)

Central Michigan (6-5) vs. Eastern Michigan (6-5) - ESPN3, 7:00
In what should be a matchup with a good number of offense, I like the offense powered by Cooper Rush.
Pick: Central Michigan

Thanksgiving - Thursday, November 24th
LSU (6-4) vs. Texas A&M (8-3) - ESPN, 7:30
After how poor their offense looked at home against Florida, I don't see the Tigers cranking up enough offense to win on the road even against a flagging A&M.
Pick: Texas A&M

Friday, November 25th
Northern Illinois (4-7) vs. Kent State (3-8) - CBS Sports Network, 12:00
Pick: Northern Illinois

NC State (5-6) vs. North Carolina (8-3) - ESPN, 12:00
It's been a messy slide for the Wolfpack and I don't think going to Chapel Hill will be much of a solution.
Pick: North Carolina

Houston (9-2) vs. Memphis (7-4) - ABC, 12:00
Two strong offenses will face off in the Liberty Bowl here but when it comes to the defenses, there is no question that the Cougars have the advantage there. That'll power them to the win here.
Pick: Houston

Buffalo (2-9) vs. Bowling Green (3-8) - ESPN3, 2:30
Pick: Bowling Green

Arkansas (7-4) vs. Missouri (3-8) - CBS, 2:30
Pick: Arkansas

Washington (10-1) vs. Washington State (8-3) - Fox, 3:30
We love the Apple Cup but this matchup has a lot more juice than it has had in a long time. There is no question that Wazzu is a good team but I don't think that even their offense can penetrate the Washington defense enough to pull the upset.
Pick: Washington

Boise State (10-1) vs. Air Force (8-3) - CBS Sports Network, 3:30
I am feeling the upset here in Colorado Springs. Air Force's offense is good enough to keep up with that of the Broncos and they may have the better defense.
Pick: Air Force

TCU (5-5) vs. Texas (5-6) - FS1, 3:30
I'm generally not in the tradition of picking teams after they lose to Kansas so unfortunately for Texas, I think they'll fall here to the Horned Frogs.
Pick: TCU

Nebraska (9-2) vs. Iowa (7-4) - ABC, 3:30
These two have won two straight after losing two straight and while both have been playing well of late, I like the Hawkeyes here to pull the upset behind their strong defense.
Pick: Iowa

Louisiana Tech (8-3) vs. Southern Miss (5-6) - ESPNEWS, 4:00
Pick: Louisiana Tech

Toledo (9-2) vs. Western Michigan (11-0) - ESPN2, 5:00
The Rockets are easily the best team the Broncos will see all here but even then, I like WMU to roll.
Pick: Western Michigan

Baylor (6-4) vs. Texas Tech (4-7) - ESPN, 6:00
Pick: Baylor

Cincinnati (4-7) vs. Tulsa (8-3) - ESPN2, 8:30
Pick: Tulsa

Arizona State (5-6) vs. Arizona (2-9) - ESPN, 9:30
Pick: Arizona State

Saturday, November 26th
Georgia Tech (7-4) vs. Georgia (7-4) - SEC Network, 12:00
Their offense always makes them a unique matchup but the Georgia Tech defense has gotten gashed multiple times this season and thus, you won't see an upset here this year.
Pick: Georgia

Kentucky (6-5) vs. Louisville (9-2) - ESPN, 12:00
The Cardinals looked terrible last week in Houston but they'll come back and take that out on the Wildcats at home.
Pick: Louisville

Kansas (2-9) vs. Kansas State (6-4) - FS1, 12:00
Pick: Kansas State

Rutgers (2-9) vs. Maryland (5-6) - ESPNEWS, 12:00
Pick: Maryland

Michigan (10-1) vs. Ohio State (10-1) - ABC, 12:00
This is, in my opinion, the most-anticipated contest of the season outside of the College Football Playoff. You could certainly go either way here but I'm a little concerned of late with Michigan's quarterback play and I think back at home, the Buckeyes are going to pull this one out.
Pick: Ohio State

Purdue (3-8) vs. Indiana (5-6) - ESPNU, 12:00
Pick: Indiana

Illinois (3-8) vs. Northwestern (5-6) - BTN, 12:00
Pick: Northwestern

UCF (6-5) vs. South Florida (9-2) - CBS Sports Network, 12:00
Pick: South Florida

Virginia (2-9) vs. Virginia Tech (8-3) - ESPN2, 12:00
Pick: Virginia Tech

Arkansas State (6-4) vs. Louisiana-Lafayette (4-6) - American Sports Network, 12:00
Pick: Arkansas State

Syracuse (4-7) vs. Pittsburgh (7-4) - ACC Network, 12:30
Pick: Pittsburgh

Boston College (5-6) vs. Wake Forest (6-5) - ACC Network (FSN), 3:00
In what should be a physical, low-scoring affair, I think the Eagles can pull the upset here in Winston-Salem.
Pick: Boston College

Duke (4-7) vs. Miami (7-4) - ESPN2, 3:30
Pick: Miami

FIU (4-7) vs. Old Dominion (8-3) - ESPN3, 3:30
Pick: Old Dominion

San Jose State (3-8) vs. Fresno State (1-10) - CBS Sports Network, 3:30
Pick: San Jose State

Mississippi State (4-7) vs. Ole Miss (5-6) - SEC Network, 3:30
Pick: Ole Miss

Auburn (8-3) vs. Alabama (11-0) - CBS, 3:30
Their loss in Athens was disappointing but Auburn is a legitimately good team. That said, barring celestial intervention, Alabama will roll here.
Pick: Alabama

Notre Dame (4-7) vs. USC (8-3) - ABC, 3:30
Pick: USC

Navy (8-2) vs. SMU (5-6) - ESPNU, 3:30
The Mustangs showed earlier in the year that they have what it takes to reel in a big upset and I think you will see the same thing here in the Park Cities.
Pick: SMU

West Virginia (8-2) vs. Iowa State (3-8) - FS1, 3:30
Pick: West Virginia

Michigan State (3-8) vs. Penn State (9-2) - ESPN, 3:30
Pick: Penn State

Minnesota (8-3) vs. Wisconsin (9-2) - BTN, 3:30
A fun rivalry in the B1G but Wisconsin is better on both sides of the ball and at home here.
Pick: Wisconsin

South Alabama (5-5) vs. Idaho (6-4) - American Sports Network, 3:30
Pick: Idaho

Troy (8-2) vs. Texas State (2-8) - Spectrum Sports (Texas)/ESPN3, 4:00
Pick: Troy

Appalachian State (8-3) vs. New Mexico State (3-7) - Aggie Vision/ESPN3, 4:00
Pick: Appalachian State

Tulane (3-8) vs. Connecticut (3-8) - ESPNEWS, 4:00
Pick: Connecticut

Oregon (4-7) vs. Oregon State (3-8) - Pac-12 Networks, 4:00
Pick: Oregon

Nevada (4-7) vs. UNLV (4-7) - ESPN3, 4:00
Pick: UNLV

North Texas (5-6) vs. UTEP (3-8) - cusa.tv, 4:00
Pick: North Texas

Florida Atlantic (3-8) vs. Middle Tennessee (7-4) - beIN Sports, 5:30
Pick: Middle Tennessee

Western Kentucky (8-3) vs. Marshall (3-8) - ESPNU, 7:00
Pick: Western Kentucky

Charlotte (4-7) vs. UTSA (5-6) - Campus Insiders, 7:00
Pick: UTSA

UCLA (4-7) vs. California (4-7) - ESPN2, 7:00
Pick: UCLA

Utah (8-3) vs. Colorado (9-2) - Fox, 7:30
Utah really shouldn't be losing to a bad Oregon team at home but hey, they're a good club. They're just not as good as the Buffs are this real and they are rolling after a strong win over Washington State.
Pick: Colorado

South Carolina (6-5) vs. Clemson (10-1) - ESPN, 7:30
Pick: Clemson

Tennessee (8-3) vs. Vanderbilt (5-6) - SEC Network, 7:30
It would be great to see Vandy back in a bowl game and they are good enough to pull the upset but that said, this would be a stunner.
Pick: Tennessee

East Carolina (3-8) vs. Temple (8-3) - ESPNEWS, 7:30
Pick: Temple

Rice (3-8) vs. Stanford (8-3) - Pac-12 Networks, 9:00
Pick: Stanford

Florida (8-2) vs. Florida State (8-3) - ABC, 8:00
Neither teams are all that hot at the moment but Florida's offense isn't good enough to take advantage of Florida State's defense.
Pick: Florida State

Colorado State (6-5) vs. San Diego State (9-2) - CBS Sports Network, 9:00
Pick: San Diego State

Wyoming (8-3) vs. New Mexico (7-4) - ESPN2, 10:15
The Cowboys have shown they are a good team with strong wins over both Boise State and San Diego State but they're also not as good on the road. Their defense also has some issues and that will leave them vulnerable here in Albuquerque.
Pick: New Mexico

Utah State (3-8) vs. BYU (7-4) - ESPNU, 10:15
Pick: BYU

Massachusetts (2-9) vs. Hawaii (5-7) - Oceanic Sports, 11:59
Pick: Hawaii
