2016 NASCAR on NBC Announcers

We are within a month of Independence Day weekend which, as we all know, marks the return of NASCAR to Daytona International Speedway and with that, we will also have the return of NBC's NASCAR coverage for 2016. Here's a look at their announcing crews for this season.

If you were expecting big changes to the lineup, you will surely be disappointed as all the key players will return from last season.

The lead broadcast booth returns intact as Rick Allen will be joined by Jeff Burton and Steve Letarte. The studio will be helmed by Krista Voda and she will be joined by Dale Jarrett and Kyle Petty while the pits will be manned by Dave Burns, Mike Massaro, Kelli Stavast and Marty Snider. Features (and other things I presume) will be presented by Rutledge Wood and news will be provided by insider Nate Ryan.

I'm pleased to see the whole gang return intact because by and large, I thought NBC Sports had themselves a very nice debut season. I think their coverage was a pretty good contract from the goofier approach we get from Fox Sports and I think you could make a case that NBC's coverage was in fact superior.
