2016 Stanley Cup Finals Predictions

We have whittled down the NHL season to two teams but as we have learned time and time again, there can only be one. On one side you have the San Jose Sharks making their first appearance ever in the Stanley Cup Finals. On the other you have the Pittsburgh Penguins making their first appearance in the Finals since 2009 and are gunning for their fourth championship in the history of their franchise.

There can only be one team to hoist Lord Stanley's Cup, who will it be?

M2 Penguins vs. P3 Sharks
Pittsburgh Penguins (1993 - 1999)San Jose Sharks (2009 - Pres)
This series is going to be a relatively tough call simply because both teams are quite good. For the Penguins, they may just have more speed than anybody, they got the starpower with Sidney Crosby, Evgeni Malkin and Phil Kessel and Matt Murray is the hot hand in net. And for San Jose, they have got themselves an elite duo leading their defense in Justin Braun and Marc-Edouard Vlasic, they've got a quality top line with Joe Thornton, Joe Pavelski and Tomas Hertl and Martin Jones has been very good in net.

But in the end, I like the Penguins. After all, the Sharks are relatively similar to another great club that Pittsburgh has already defeated in the Washington Capitals. And I think that the speed and the depth for the Penguins will ultimately be too much for them to handle.
