ESPN has shut down Grantland

Grantland is no more. The sports and pop culture website which was launched over four years ago with Bill Simmons at the helm with the backing of ESPN has been shut down as of yesterday, according to an ESPN press release. This comes six months after the departure of Simmons, who is now en route to HBO.

This decision appeared sudden to many but should we have seen this coming?

2015 Chase for the Sprint Cup Predictions: Eliminator Round

Following Talladega and the disgraceful way NASCAR handled the end of that race, the field of the Chase for the Sprint Cup has now been halved. This is the Eliminator Round and after the next three races, we know which four drivers will be competing for the championship. Which four drivers will be in that mix? Here are my predictions.

2015 NFL Predictions: Week 8

There is only one matchup of 6-0 clubs this week and it takes place on Sunday night in Denver between the Packers and the Broncos. Will Temple pull the upset and who will win the rest of the big college football games this week? Here are my picks for Week 9.

2015 World Series Predictions

When the Kansas City Royals last won the World Series, the #1 song was Part-Time Lover. When the New York Mets last won the World Series, the top movie was "Crocodile" Dundee. Just in case you weren't able to figure it out, it has been a while since either team has last won the Commissioner's Trophy (1985 and 1986, respectively).

But somebody will have to win the 2015 World Series and end that three decade drought, which team will it be? Here are my predictions.

2015-16 NBA Predictions

The Golden State Warriors certainly were a great story last season as they won a league-high 65 games and their first championship in forty years in taking out the Cleveland Cavaliers despite a herculean effort from LeBron James. Doing that was impressive, but rolling it back and doing it again will be even more. Who will claim the Larry O'Brien Trophy at the end of the season. It's time for my NBA predictions.
