It is a big sports Saturday this weekend (Champions League Final, Belmont Stakes, Women's World Cup, Stanley Cup Finals) and there will be a threesome of MLB action in primetime on Fox at 7:00 in the heart of it. That comprises at action at Turner Field, U.S. Cellular Field and Yankee Stadium. The Fox action will follow MLB on FS1 action between the Rangers and the Royals. Continue reading for the distribution splits and the announcing assignments for MLB action on Fox tomorrow night.

2015 Belmont Stakes Picks

Tomorrow will see the 147th running of the Belmont Stakes but all the attention will be on a certain horse called American Pharoah. American Pharoah is the 14th horse to win the first two legs of the Triple Crown since the last Triple Crown winner, Affirmed back in 1978. The Belmont is always a tough race to win considering the length of the course but if there is any horse that can pull it off, it may just be American Pharoah. Will he make history tomorrow?

2015 NBA Mock Draft: 3rd Edition

While the NBA's best are duking it out in the NBA Finals (check out my predictions here), the 28 remaining teams are looking to get in their positions in one year from now. That process begins in less than three weeks with the NBA Draft. Here's my third mock.

2015 FIFA Women's World Cup: Group Stage Predictions

Amid a decent amount of turmoil surrounding the Fédération Internationale de Football Association, the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cup kicks off this Saturday from Edmonton. Of course, this tournament has also been plagued by controversy, notably the idiotic and disgraceful decision that this tournament will not be played on grass but instead on turf. Alas, it wouldn't be FIFA without some self-inflicted controversies now would it?

That aside, the group stage will take place over the next two weeks with 16 teams advancing to the knockout stage. Who will be those teams whose hopes of winning the Women's World Cup will still be intact by June 20th? Here are my predictions.

2015 NBA Finals Predictions

The 69th NBA Finals kick off tomorrow night in Oakland. The Cleveland Cavaliers are going for their first ever NBA championship while the Golden State Warriors are going for their fourth championship and their first since 1975. It is the first Finals ever to feature two rookie head coaches and it is the first Finals since 1998 to not feature the Los Angeles Lakers, the Miami Heat or the San Antonio Spurs.

So who will it be? Will LeBron James successfully bring a title to Cleveland for the first time since 1964, or will a sensational Warriors season be capped off the right way? Here are my predictions.

Yahoo to stream Bills-Jaguars from London

For the first time ever, an NFL game is going to be streamed exclusively on the web this October. The NFL selected Yahoo to stream for free the Buffalo Bills-Jacksonville Jaguars game from Wembley on October 25th at 9:30 am and it will be available on their properties like Yahoo, Yahoo Sports, Tumblr and more.

The pressure will be high on Fred Hoiberg & the Bulls

(Chicago Tribune)
Does this situation sound familiar? A successful head coach of the Chicago Bulls is pushed out thanks to a fractious relationship with the front office and is replaced by the organization's chosen replacement, the head coach of the Iowa State Cyclones.

Some could make that comparison between 2015 and 1998 but it's not a perfect nor fair comparison. Tom Thibodeau, albeit pretty successful, is no Phil Jackson and Fred Hoiberg is no Tim Floyd. But whoever he is, the new coach of the Bulls has to know that the scrutiny on him will be pretty high from the onset.

2015 Stanley Cup Finals Predictions

The Stanley Cup was first awarded way back in 1893. It was known as the Dominion Hockey Challenge Cup and the first recipient was the Montreal Hockey Club. 122 years later and the Cup is still going strong as this year will see the Chicago Blackhawks and the Tampa Bay Lightning facing off.

Will the Lightning win their second Stanley Cup or will the Blackhawks win their sixth? Here are my predictions.

Sepp Blatter has resigned the FIFA presidency

In a stunning announcement made early on Tuesday afternoon in Zurich, Sepp Blatter announced his resignation as president of FIFA. This news came only five days of Blatter being elected to an fifth term as FIFA president, even as the election was forced to a second ballot by FIFA Vice President for Asia Prince Ali of Jordan, where Blatter said that he was "the president of everybody." Of course, FIFA has been dogged over the past week by the indictment of nine FIFA officials, and 14 overall, by the Department of Justice on charges of racketeering, wire fraud and money laundering as part of a "24-year scheme to enrich themselves through the corruption of international soccer."

Watch some of the announcement below.

With UAB football coming back, what's next?

Six months after terminating the program, UAB president Ray Watts announced on Monday that football (as well as rifle and bowling) will be returning to the school. The football program was terminated on December 2nd, becoming the first major college football school to drop its program since the University of the Pacific did so back in 1995. The hope is that the Blazers will return to the gridiron in 2016.

But while it is good to see UAB football returning, it means that there is still a long way coming for the Blazers to get back to what they were.

ESPN has a new college football studio crew

In the wake of Rece Davis's promotion to College GameDay and specifically so after Lou Holtz parted ways with the network in April, I thought that gave ESPN the perfect opportunity to rework their primary college football studio crew which had been defined over the years by the shtick and shenaigans of Holtz and Mark May. Now, as first reported by the great John Ourand of SBD, ESPN had done just that with a brand new crew: Adnan Virk, Joey Galloway and Danny Kanell.
