  1. Only 1/3 of CT is in NY's DMA and all those residents have FOX NY on their cable systems, yet FOX and NFL give FOX CT the giants game when they should be showing the Patriots.

    1. I was embarrassed to grow up in CT for many reasons- state lacks so much in terms of distinct personality and the sheer rudeness of the residents between New London and the NY state line. Not to mention that even areas like Hartford that are just as close/closer to Boston you would think would be geographically speaking, "New England". If it was the 80s and it was the Parcell Giants as opposed to the 2-10 Patriots playing the 2-10 Bills, I'd understand, but situations like this are silly and is just another black eye as far as CT's reputation around the rest of "New England".

  3. So Wolf TV in Scranton is only getting a late game?

  4. Lucky us in NY, we get Marv's kid again! :(

  5. Unfortunately Marv's kid always sounds like he is announcing from autocue. He was just the play-by-play you wouldn't have wanted to call the Giants-Saints spectacle. He has the personality of a ping-pong bat and gives the impression he is not having fun... Kevin Burkhardt would have been ideal...

  6. Sunday night football...oh what a shock- another NFC East tilt- so tired of having those teams shoved down our throats week in and week out either by FOX or NBC (actually CBS does its best to the few times they have the rights). I've never seen such bloated hype- the Giants had two unexpected runs amongst the last 8 years (and have generally been mediocre at best in the rest of them). In the past 20 years the Eagles got to one Super Bowl- Dallas hasn't appeared in so much as an NFC title game. Yet the out-of-touch media expects us to believe these are premiere rivalry games we should care about if we aren't fans of those teams.

    1. What you say is quite true. I think the networks have difficulty accepting Seattle-Arizona as the new rivalry given those TV markets are not in the Top 5, for example. There seems to be a latent yearning for Dallas and NY to compete so Fox can justify showing a 2-5 nationwide... at least this weekend Fox is giving us The Pack and Panthers and missing NBC's Sunday Night Fodder this week won't kill me.

  7. As a lifelong Green Bay Packer fan I am very disappointed that Fox continues to assign the very anti Packer biased crew of Joe Buck and Troy Aikman, Looks like my radio will be on again this week.

    1. And let's be honest! The only reason the Pack's game is being announced by those two is because the Cowgirls' match-up with Philly is on NBC.
