Here are my picks for Week 13.
Tuesday, November 24th
Bowling Green vs. Ball State - ESPN3, 7:00
Pick: Bowling Green
Ohio vs. Northern Illinois - ESPNU, 7:30
I'd consider the Bobcats in the upset if they were at home, but with the game being played in DeKalb, I've got to go with the Huskies.
Pick: Northern Illinois
Thanksgiving - Thursday, November 26th
USF vs. UCF - ESPN, 7:30
Texas Tech vs. Texas - FS1, 7:30
Pick: Texas Tech
Friday, November 27th
Miami (FL) vs. Pittsburgh - ESPN2, 12:00
Marshall vs. Western Kentucky - FS1, 12:00
A berth in the C-USA Championship Game is on the line here. Marshall doesn't have an answer for WK quarterback Brandon Doughty and he will power the Hilltoppers to the win here.
Pick: Western Kentucky
15 Navy vs. Houston - ABC, 12:00
Just when it seems like Houston was poised to potentially get the Group of Five bid, they lose to Connecticut and give the opportunity to Navy now. I think the option attack of the Middies will keep the Houston spread at bay.
Western Michigan vs. 24 Toledo - CBSSN, 12:00
Kent State vs. Akron - ESPN3, 12:00
Eastern Michigan vs. Central Michigan - ESPN3, 1:00
Pick: Central Michigan
Troy vs. Georgia State - ESPN3, 2:00
Pick: Georgia State
Missouri vs. Arkansas - CBS, 2:30
I bet that Mizzou would love to send off Gary Pinkel the right way by going to a bowl game, but I don't see the offense showing up anytime soon.
Oregon State vs. 17 Oregon - FS1, 3:30
20 Washington State vs. Washington - Fox, 3:30
The Huskies need a win to get to bowl elgibility and while I think that the Cougars are better, I think the homefield advantage and freshman running back Myles Gaskin will help U-Dub to get the win.
4 Iowa vs. Nebraska - ABC, 3:30
Nebraska is another team that needs a win to get to six, but this would be a big shocker.
Boise State vs. San Jose State - CBSSN, 3:30
Pick: Boise State
UMass vs. Buffalo - ESPNU, 4:30
7 Baylor vs. 19 TCU - ESPN, 7:30
I have a pretty good feeling that we will see plenty of offense here. I do think that even with a backup quarterback in the mix, the Baylor offense is just a hair better and that will be the difference.
Tulsa vs. Tulane - ESPNU, 8:00
Saturday, November 28th
Cincinnati vs. East Carolina - CBSSN, 12:00
Pick: East Carolina
SMU vs. Memphis - ESPNEWS, 12:00
Iowa State vs. West Virginia - FS1, 12:00
Pick: West Virginia
Indiana vs. Purdue - BTN, 12:00
Maryland vs. Rutgers - BTN, 12:00
Southern Miss vs. Louisiana Tech - FSN, 12:00
Another Conference USA title game berth will be determined here. These two are relatively equal here but to go against the norm, I'll take the road upset.
Pick: Southern Miss
8 Ohio State vs. 10 Michigan - ABC, 12:00
Say what you want about Ezekiel Elliott's comments on Saturday, but Urban Meyer clearly didn't coach a good game. His Buckeyes have seldom been as dominant as they should have been this season and I think they will fold on Saturday in Ann Arbor.
FAU vs. Old Dominion - ASN, 12:00
Pick: Old Dominion
1 Clemson vs. South Carolina - ESPN, 12:00
Virginia Tech vs. Virginia - ESPNU, 12:00
Pick: Virginia Tech
Georgia vs. Georgia Tech - ESPN2, 12:00
Louisville vs. Kentucky - SEC Network, 12:00
Boston College vs. Syracuse - ACC Network (FSN), 12:30
Duke vs. West Virginia - ACC Network, 12:30
Louisiana vs. Appalachian State - ESPN3, 2:00
Pick: Appalachian State
UNLV vs. Wyoming - Root Sports, 2:00
South Alabama vs. Georgia Southern - ESPN3, 2:00
Pick: Georgia Southern
Middle Tennessee vs. UTSA - FCS, 2:30
Pick: Middle Tennessee
Colorado vs. 23 Utah - Pac-12 Networks, 2:30
14 North Carolina vs. NC State - ABC/ESPN2, 3:30
The Tar Heels better be careful because NC State is a solid club. However, the offensive superiority of Carolina will be the difference.
Pick: North Carolina
2 Alabama vs. Auburn - CBS, 3:30
Charlotte vs. Rice - ASN, 3:30
Penn State vs. Michigan State - ESPN, 3:30
Sparty will win this game but Christian Hackenberg should be able to make it interesting.
Pick: Michigan State
Wisconsin vs. Minnesota - BTN, 3:30
UTEP vs. North Texas - FSN, 3:30
22 UCLA vs. USC - ABC/ESPN2, 3:30
USC put up a stinker in Eugene while the Bruins gutted one out in Salt Lake City. This would be a classic UCLA loss but I don't see it happening.
16 Northwestern vs. Illinois - ESPNU, 3:30
BYU vs. Utah State - CBSSN, 3:30
Arkansas State vs. New Mexico State - Altitude/Aggie Vision PPV, 4:00
Pick: Arkansas State
Kansas State vs. Kansas - FS1, 4:00
Pick: Kansas State
Vanderbilt vs. Tennessee - SEC Network, 4:00
Texas State vs. Idaho - ESPN3, 5:00
UConn vs. 25Temple - ESPNU, 7:00
The Huskies did pull off a stunner to get to bowl elgibility, but lightning doesn't strike twice. Or, does it?
18 Ole Miss vs. 21 Mississippi State - ESPN2, 7:15
A tough call but ultimately for me, the Rebels have more depth and more balance on their roster than do the Bulldogs.
Pick: Ole Miss
6 Notre Dame vs. 9 Stanford - Fox, 7:30
I've gone back and forth on this game coming into this week but I'm leaning towards Stanford for one key reason: when was the last time Notre Dame really looked impressive? Considering they struggled with BC and didn't blow the doors off Wake. Give me the Cardinal.
13 Florida State vs. 12 Florida - ESPN, 7:30
UF will be at home, but they have nearly lost to Vanderbilt and FAU at home (who took them to overtime!) and didn't look great in Columbia against the Gamecocks. Their offense is a mess and that will swing things to FSU.
Pick: Florida State
Texas A&M vs. LSU - SEC Network, 7:30
Les Miles's job is reportedly in serious jeopardy after three straight losses for the Tigers, so when wouldn't be a great time for a win with his back against the wall. After all, we are talking about Les here.
3 Oklahoma vs. 11 Oklahoma State - ABC, 8:00
We got some hardcore playoff implications in this contest. An Okie State bounce-back from the home loss to Baylor is certainly possible but I'm loving what the Sooners are doing right now.
Colorado State vs. Fresno State - CBSSN, 9:00
Pick: Colorado State
Arizona State vs. California - FS1, 10:00
Air Force vs. New Mexico - ESPNU, 10:15
Pick: Air Force
Louisiana Monroe vs. Hawaii - Oceanic TWC PPC, 11:00
