2015 Stanley Cup Playoffs: Conference Finals Predictions

The race for Lord Stanley's Cup is down to only four clubs as we have reached the 2015 Stanley Cup Conference Finals. While the two teams remaining in the Western Conference had a bit of an easier route in the second round to get here as compared to the Eastern Conference, that's all out the window now.

Who will advance to the Stanley Cup Finals? Here are my predictions.

TV Schedule

M1 New York Rangers vs. A2 Tampa Bay Lightning
The resilience of the Rangers once again was pretty darn impressive as they became the first team to overcome a 3-1 deficit in back-to-back postseasons as they rallied to knock out the Caps. Of course, Henrik Lundqvist was sensational (as usual) as he performs like he did against Washington against Tampa Bay, they'll advance to the Cup Finals once again. Even as Ben Bishop has been inconsistent for the Bolts in this postseason, he will benefit from having a far better offensive unit than the Rangers and thus will see less pressure on his end. Not to mention that while the Blueshirts are strong on the defensive end, Tampa Bay is pretty good on that end as well and they have looked better on special teams.

P1 Anaheim Ducks vs. C3 Chicago Blackhawks
This will certainly be a fun series as it looks like one on paper. Chicago may have only been the third seed from the Central Division but we always know they are dangerous come playoff time and with their offensive depth, they are always dangerous. Meanwhile, while the Ducks have a history of coming up short in the playoffs in recent years, they are looking damn good thus far as they have a fine front line and a very good defensive corps. Both teams may have solidified their issues in net as Corey Crawford was awesome against Minnesota for the Hawks while Frederik Andersen has looked good in the playoffs thus far. It always is a tough bet to bet against the Blackhawks in the playoffs and they were my preseason pick to win it all, but I think a deeper Anaheim club will be the difference.
