After returning to Sunday afternoon last year, the Duck Commander 500 returns to racing under the lights tonight at Texas Motor Speedway. This race in its 18 year history has been won by 15 different drivers, will we see something similar tonight?
Fresh off his first championship last season, Kevin Harvick has been awesome thus far. His eighth-place finish last week at Martinsville (where he led a race high 154 laps) was his first non-top two finish of the season. There is simply nobody better than him right now on the circuit.
However the thing with Harvick is that he has never won before at Texas and has only led eight laps at TMS total. That is not to say that he hasn't run well at TMS before as he finished second in the fall race last year and has four top ten finishes in the last six races.
But of course, as noted before, this is a race that seems to find first-time winners and all week, Harvick has shown some speed this week as he will start on the outside pole. I think that, coupled with how much better Happy seems to be compared to everybody else right now, will power him to victory lane.
