2014 Chase for the Sprint Cup: Eliminator Round Predictions

After the wild, as expected, conclusion to Sunday's race at Talladega Superspeedway, the field for the Eliminator Round of the 2014 Chase for the Sprint Cup was set as the field of 12 drivers was whittled down to eight. I was not nearly as good predicting this past round as I was the first round, only getting one eliminated driver correct. This round will set the field for who will run for the title in Homestead in a little more than three weeks, who will those four drivers be?

2014 NFL Predictions: Week 8

(USATSI)
Week 8 sure saw some wild finishes. The Jaguars got their first win of the season by rolling the Browns, the Rams executed some glorious special teams trickery to defeat the Seahawks, the Chiefs upset the Chargers on the road, the Bills scored a winning touchdown in the last seconds against the Vikings, the Patriots blocked a game-winning field goal attempt by the Jets, Colt McCoy made an appearance and won a game for Washington, and the Lions scored two touchdowns late to beat the Saints. Good stuff all around, but can this week top it? Here are my picks.

Fanatic Radio is back to talk the US Soccer vs MLS Debate with soccer analyst John Gardner. Mike and Ben jump on the Kansas City Royals bandwagon as the World Series pins Cinderella and the Giants. Which college football team is most likely to fall after two weeks of Mississippi Madness, especially in light of the Jameis Winston hearings and why Michael Jordan is calling out LeBron James and Dirk? Stay tuned.

2014 College Football Predictions: Week 9

(AP)
You'd be hard-pressed to find a game as big as the Notre Dame-Florida State contest on Saturday, and a game as good. It went back-and-forth until a controversial but correct offensive pass interference call negated a game-winning touchdown for the Irish and the Seminoles escaped with the win. Now in week 9 there aren't as many ranked showdowns but with the uncertainty of the selection committee, every game counts. Here are my picks.

Fox Sports is the singleheader network this Sunday but even then, they'll be bringing a doubleheader of action. For the first time ever, Fox will be airing a regular season game in the morning Eastern time as Lions-Falcons from London will air at 9:30 am EST. Then in the traditional timeslots, the offerings are Bears-Patriots, Rams-Chiefs, Vikings-Buccaneers, Titans-Texans and Eagles-Cardinals. 2014 World Series Predictions

I'd like to find the folks that predicted this World Series matchup. The Kansas City Royals have put together one of the more surprising and dominant runs to this point after rallying to win the Wild Card game, then sweeping the two best teams by record in the American League, Anaheim and Baltimore. The San Francisco Giants have rekindled some of their even year magic, even with a team that is certainly not as good as those 2010 and 2012 clubs, and took out the Nats and Cardinals in two tight series. It's the first World Series matchup of Wild Card teams since 2002, and the first matchup of teams with less than 90 wins ever; who will win the Commissioner's Trophy?
