Why Sunday's race at Talladega could be the wildest in years

Saying a race at Talladega Superspeedway is going to be unpredictable and a little crazy is a little like saying the Brooklyn Bridge is a bridge. Seemingly every race since the Alabama track opened back in 1969 has been just that. But the Geico 500 this Sunday is going to be different, in my opinion, than most races prior considering what is on the line in this race.

It's a Fall Classic that very few saw coming with the Royals claiming the American League crown and the Giants seizing the National League title. It will kick off this Tuesday night in Kansas City (what kind of a scene will that be?). Here's the television and announcing schedule.

2014 NFL Predictions: Week 7

In the seventh week of the 2014 NFL season, how many people thought that the Cowboys would be 5-1 and tied for first in the NFC East after winning in Seattle? Hell, I didn't even have the Cowboys get to five wins on the season! Or how about the Cardinals sitting in first in the tough NFC West? Cleveland with a winning record at 3-2? How about the Chargers looking like the best team in the NFL? Football is great, here are my picks.

Tell me you ever thought that you would find yourself looking at the polls and find Mississippi State at the top spot. If you actually thought that, I have a bridge to sell you. All kidding aside after three impressive wins in a row at LSU, and against Texas A&M and Auburn at home. The Bulldogs might just be the team to beat when the inaugural College Football Playoff comes around this January. They are off this week but what about the rest of the college football world amid a season that has seen its fair share of unexpected excitement? Here are my predictions for week eight.

2014 NFL on Fox Announcers & Distribution: Week 7

The doubleheader network in Week 7 of the NFL season will be Fox as they will broadcast seven games this Sunday. The early games are Panthers-Packers, Saints-Lions, Falcons-Ravens, Seahawks-Rams and Vikings-Bills. The late games are Giants-Cowboys and Cardinals-Raiders.
