2014 Stanley Cup Playoffs: Conference Finals Predictions

And just like that, we are down to four in the race for Lord Stanley's Cup. Two teams in the Eastern Conference, two teams in the Western Conference remain with their dreams of the Stanley Cup intact. Who will advance to the 2014 Stanley Cup Finals? Here are my predictions.

TV Schedule

A3 Montreal Canadiens vs. M2 New York Rangers
I think this is a tough series because it is a relatively even series, in my opinion. Both goaltenders, Carey Price for Montreal and Henrik Lundqvist for New York, were lights out in the conference semifinals. Both of these teams want to get out to early leads and excel when they do so. These teams both have players that can score but are not great offensive clubs on the hole. However, I think the Habs are a little better offensively and a little better on the special teams. Like both of these teams' previous series, this will go the full seven but I like Montreal by a hair.
Canadiens in 7

C3 Chicago Blackhawks vs. P3 Los Angeles Kings
A rematch of the 2013 Western Conference Finals features two teams that finished third in their divisions, no less. Jonathan Quick is well known for his excellence in net and he has been tremendous, but Corey Crawford, who does not get the love his counterpart does, has been great for Chicago this postseason. That will be key for the Hawks as they take on a team that has taken two series to a seventh game. Their offense will be strong, Crawford will play at or near Quick's level and Chicago will advance to the Stanley Cup Finals.
Blackhawks in 6
