  1. Are the broadcast partners the same as last season?

    1. They are not out yet but with Brian Billick and Tim Ryan both leaving Fox, there will be some upheaval with the crews.

      Delete
    2. Thanks. Do you know if Buck/Aikman/Oliver will stay together

      Delete
    3. I would presume so, I have not seen anything that says otherwise.

      Delete
  2. WOULD heath Evans be a candidate to do games with either Chris Myers or Thom Brennamen?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. It's possible, I think Myers would be more likely than Brennaman though.

      Delete
  3. Who would replace Billick and Ryan respectively?

    ReplyDelete
  4. Would someone let me know when the announcer pairings are confirmed so I can start making predictions and besides who would fill in for Kevin Burkhardt if he is doing postseason hosting for Fox?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. We will have the pairings when they come out right here so stay tuned.

      Delete
    2. Some changes that we do know include Chris Myers now working with Ronde Barber, and former Giants lineman David Diehl will be doing games with his partner to be determined.

      Delete
    3. But who would be working with Dick Stockton?

      Delete
  5. With a month till preseason, FOX hasnt announced its announcing team yet?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Not yet. We *probably* will not hear until August like in the past, but who knows at this point.

      Delete
  6. It has just been announced that Erin Andrews will replace Pam Oliver for games called by the No. 1 broadcast team of Joe Buck and Troy Aikman. Oliver will report on games called by the No. 2 team, which I believe will be Kevin Burkhardt and John Lynch.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. It will be Burkhardt and Lynch. I discussed it in-depth here:

  7. It is VERY UNLIKELY that the announcers for the 49ers/Cowboys game in Week 1 will be anyone other than Buck/Aikman/Andrews.

    ReplyDelete
  8. Ben I'm a little confused as to why the Bills/Bears game wk 1 is on FOX? Shouldn't it be on CBS since the traveling team is an AFC team?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Starting this year the NFL is loosening the traditional conference TV rules just a bit but this will be little more than a rare occurrence.

      Delete
    2. Interesting. Wonder if that is to keep the number of games on Sunday even between CBS and FOX?

      Delete
    3. It's a good question, one I'm not certain of.

      Delete
    4. Thank you that Kevin Burkhardt and John Lynch will call a Packer-Bear rivalry and NOT Joe Buck and Troy Aikman. And why on earth would Brennaman and Aikman would call the Lions-Falcons game? That's supposed to be a regional game, man!

      Delete
    5. Well it's a regional slate of action, and Lions-Falcons will be the most distributed game as it is going to 100% of the country, and it is a unique airtime. It makes sense to me, but I could have also seen the justification for them on Bears-Patriots.

      Delete
    6. That is really unusual, I'll say.

      Delete
  9. Washington??? REDSKINS REDSKINS REDSKINS!!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Exactly! If Redskins can't be used here, then none of the other team names should be used either.

  10. Any predictions for weeks 2 and three?

    1. Cardinals vs. Giants- Thom Brennamen, David Diehl Lions vs. Panthers Kenny, Moose and Goose Cowboys vs. Titans Kevin Burhardt, John Lynch Saints vs. Browns Dick Stockton Kirk Morrison
Seahawks vs. Chargers Joe Buck Troy Aikman Rams vs. Buccaneers Chris Myers, Ronder Barber

    2. Week 3:
      Redskins vs Eagles- Kenny Albert
      Packers vs Lions- Joe Buck
      Cowboys vs Rams- Kevin Burkhardt
      Vikings vs Saints- Dick Stockton
      49ers vs Cardinals- Thom Brennaman

      Delete
    3. Yeah and you got the 49ers-Cardinals game right. Indeed Thom Brennaman called that game with David Diehl.

      Delete
  11. Ben, could you please verify why Justin Kutcher is calling the Bears weeks 5-6, (I'm assuming Brennaman will be doing NLDS playoffs for MLB)?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Well Buck will be doing MLB and Brennaman will fill-in once again for Buck, therefore Kutcher will fill in for Brennaman.

      Delete
    2. Ben, if Buck will be doing the post season week 5, then wouldn't Brennaman to Cardinals vs Broncos and not Buck.

      Delete
    3. Buck will be calling that game as it is an off day and easy travel from his NLDS series, STL-LAD.

      Delete
    4. Actually, according to a tweet from Ken Rosenthal, Buck may be only doing Game 1 of the NLDS.

  13. How come it's Myers and Barber calling NO/DET instead of Kenny Moose and Goose for Week 7?

    ReplyDelete
  14. There is two Sam Rosens and John Lynches for week 7

    ReplyDelete
  15. they should be only one sam rosens and john lynches

  20. Week 8 Predictions-
    DET/ATL- Thom Brennaman
    CHI/NE- Kevin Burkhardt
    STL/KC- Sam Rosen
    MIN/TB- Dick Stockton
    TEN/HOU- Tim Brando
    PHI/ARI- Kenny Albert

    ReplyDelete
  21. Thom Brennaman and Troy Aikman should be at the Eagles Cardinals Game, that is a bigger match up than Lions Falcons.

    ReplyDelete
  22. I have a strong feeling that Albert/Moose/Goose will call the Eagles@Texans game in Week 9; minor correction for Week 8: The Tennessee Titans, not the Houston Texans, are the home team — it should be "Texans vs. Titans."

    ReplyDelete
  23. With Philadelphia @ Green Bay being flexed to 4:25, does that mean it will be the primary 4:25 game in Week 11? I'd be kinda shocked seeing as Detroit @ Arizona right now is a match-up of possibly the 2 best teams in the NFC, and could go a long way in determining home-field in the NFC potentially...

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Philly-Green Bay is going to be the lead 4:25 game. I had been thinking since that was more or less a lock to be moved, maybe the league would move Detroit-Arizona to CBS and be their lead regional game but they chose not to do so.

      Delete
    2. It's all about ratings. Eagles/Packers is likely to draw a bigger audience than Lions/Cardinals..

      Delete
    3. Man I thought Myers and Barber had a shot at calling the Eagles Packer game. Maybe they might call the Packers-Lion game in week 17, but who knows.

    1. Week 12 Predictions

      1:00
Lions vs. Patriots (Joe Buck, Troy Aikman, Erin Andrews)***
Packers vs. Vikings (Kenny Albert, Daryl Johnston, Tony Siragusa)
Buccaneers vs. Bears (Thom Brennaman, David Diehl, Laura Okmin)

      4:05
Cardinals vs. Seahawks (Kevin Burkhardt, John Lynch, Pam Oliver)***
Rams vs. Chargers (Chris Myers, Ronde Barber, Jennifer Hale)

(***Announce teams interchangeable due to both being big games)

      Delete
    2. I like those predictions. I am predicting that the NFL will announce the final Week 12 schedule on Sunday.

      Delete
    3. The #1 team almost never does 4:05 games when there are 2 games in that slot so pretty much Buck/Ailkman for Lions/Pats

      Delete
    4. That is not true at all. The number one team always does 4:05 game whe there is a double header.

      Delete
    5. The doubleheader late games are 4:25 not 4:05. 4:05 is the late singleheader game

      Delete
    6. My bad, I meant 4:20 ET

      Delete
    7. Shoot, I meant 4:25. WHY DO I ALWAYS GET IT WRONG!!!!!!!!!!

      Delete
  25. Since we already know which games Joe Buck, Kenny Albert and Chris Myers will be calling on Week 11. Here is my predictions for the rest of the crew. Kevin Burkhardt 49ers vs Giants, Thom Brennaman Falcons vs Panthers and Dick Stockton Buccaneers vs Washington.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Would Joe Buck and Troy Aikman call the Lions-Patriots game in Week 12?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. I would assume yes. But this game could get flexed to SNF. If that happens. I wondering which game Joe and Troy would call. Cardinals-Seahawks?

      Delete
    2. Probably not and I would assume Buck and Aikman would call the Lions Patriots game in Week 12 as the Lions don't always play Primetime games every year as the Packers do.

      Delete
    3. As poorly as the G-Men have been playing this season, it wouldn't surprise me to see the DAL/NYG game flexed out of the Sunday night spot. That would leave the aforementioned DET/NE game as well as the AZ/SEA game candidates for Sunday night.

      Delete
    4. I say that NBC is going to select DET/NE game for Week 12 of SNF. With AZ/SEA getting crossflexed to CBS.

      Delete
    5. Since there are no changes to the Week 12 Schedule. Most likely Joe Buck will be calling Lions vs Patriots and Kevin Burkhardt will be calling Cardinals vs Seahawks. Which is what Milan Holland predicted last week and I agree.

      Delete
    6. Predictions for Week 13? As of right now. CBS has five games in the early window and FOX has four games. I predict that Chargers vs Ravens or Browns vs Bills will get moved to the 4:25 window for CBS. If that happens CBS and FOX will both each have four games in the early window. And who knows? Maybe Titans vs Texans will get crossflexed to FOX like what happened in Week 8.

      Delete
    7. Joe Buck and Troy Aikman will call the Lions-Patriots game in Week 12. I believe why because it is a good matchup between Tom Brady and Matthew Stafford.

      Delete
    8. And the sexy Erin Andrews on the sidelines.

      Delete
  27. Week 13 predictions

    Saints-Steelers Burkhardt/Lynch
    Redskins-Colts Kenny/Moose/Goose
    Falcons-Cardinals Brennaman/Diehl
    Giants-Jaguars Myers/Barber
    Panthers-Vikings Stockton/Morrison

    2. My Week 13 predictions. Kevin Burkhardt Saints vs Steelers, Kenny Albert Cardinals vs Falcons, Thom Brennaman Redskins vs Colts, Chris Myers Giants vs Jaguars and Dick Stockton Panthers vs Vikings.

      Delete
  28. I would say Kenny, Moose and Goose for the Giants Jaguars. Besides Joe Buck and Troy Aikman are already calling the Lions-Patriots game which leaves Kenny, Moose, and Goose to call the Packers-Viking rivalry in Week 12.

    2. I agree with these predictions. But also wanted to add for Week 14. I won't be shocked if one of these four games get's crossflexed from CBS to FOX. Colts vs Browns, Ravens vs Dolphins, Chiefs vs Cardinals and Bills-Broncos.

      Delete
    3. As for Week 15. Most likely Packers vs Bills get's moved to the 4:25 window. And Bengals vs Browns or Dolphins vs Patriots get's crossflexed to the 1:00 window.

      Delete
    4. Finally for Week 16. Maybe Chiefs vs Steelers get's crossflexed.

      Delete
    5. If the Packers Bills game would move to 4:05 who would call that game?

      Delete
    6. I would say Kenny Albert.

      Delete
    7. Maybe I would say Dick Stockton.

      Delete
  30. Week 11 - Falcons vs. Panthers - Brennaman, Diehl. Not Stockton, Morrison

    1. Good call, a silly mistake on my behalf. thanks.

  31. Week 14 predictions. Most likely Chiefs vs Cardinals will get crossflexed from CBS to FOX. Will that be the main game in the 4:25 window? Or will the Seahawks vs Eagles get moved to the 1:00 window?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. I personally don't see any changes coming to the week 14 schedule. Seeing as how SEA/PHI is protected from flex scheduling, it's very unlikely it will be moved out of the 4:25 slot. Almost certain that Fox will keep that as their lead game. And with SF/OAK also in the 4:25 slot, I don't see CBS giving up their biggest regional game of the week.

One possible scenario would be to move KC/ARZ to Sunday night but there's a good chance NBC sticks with NE/SD.

      Delete
    2. In that case. Going to make my announcer predictions for Week 14. Joe Buck Seahawks vs Eagles, Kevin Burkhardt Panthers vs Saints, Kenny Albert Buccaneers vs Lions, Thom Brennaman 49ers vs Raiders, Chris Myers Rams vs Redskins and Dick Stockton Giants vs Titans.

      Delete
  32. ^This guy is an idiot Dick Stocton will call the Rams Redskins game lol

    ReplyDelete
  33. Since the Week 12 Jets vs Bills game got postponed to Monday night on CBS. I am speculating that the Week 15 Packers vs Bills game on FOX (for now) will probably get postponed as well. What do you all think?

PS I am referencing to the 2010 Minnesota Vikings. They played their last two home games at a netual site. But in the case of the 2014 Buffalo Bills they will probably play their last three home games at a netual site.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. I don't think they'll postpone the Packers-Bills game even if it it was snowing.

      Delete
  34. Dick Stockton-either Kirk Morrison, Brady Quinn, or Donovan McNabb and Clarissa Thompson will call the game for the New Orleans Saints-Pittsburgh Steelers.

    2. Plus, for CBS, you even mentioned that is Dick Enberg retires from the San Diego Padres booth Don Criqui will completely take over for Enberg. Not even true. And for you, Anonymous you don't need to harshly criticize mars. I'm sure Ben would agree with this.

      Delete
    3. Anon, not sure if that was necessary to call Mars that even if he is making weird stuff up and makes no sense. Also it's more likely that Kevin and John do Saints-Steelers

    4. I hope that you get it! I said Dick Stockton.

  35. Any predictions for the remaining Packer games from weeks 15-17?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Week 15- Burkhardt/Lynch
      Week 16- Kenny/Moose/Goose

as for week 17 its hard to predict that cause that game might be flexed to NBC. If not than probably Buck/Aikman or Burkhardt/Lynch

      Delete
    2. I don't think the Lions-Packer game in Week 17 will flex to Sunday night. It will stay in the afternoon.

      Delete
    3. Besides I don't think Buck/Aikman or Burkhardt/Lynch will call the Lion-Packer game in Week 17. I would say probably Myers/Barber. Who would you think would call the Lions Packer game?

  37. Ben, do you think there will be a game flexed to the early slate of week 14? I mean its kind of bad that the early lead game might be Panthers/Saints

  38. does anyone have any remaining Giants game announcer guesses?

  39. Why is Tim Ryan announcing the 49ers-Raiders game? I thought he calls games for the 49ers Radio Network.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Now that the final Week 14 schedule has been decided. With Colts vs Browns being crossflexed from CBS to FOX and Patriots vs Chargers staying on SNF. Going to make my revised announcer predictions for Week 14. I already know Joe Buck is calling Seahawks vs Eagles and Chris Myers calling 49ers vs Raiders. Going to make predictions for the rest of the crew. Kevin Burkhardt Colts vs Browns, Kenny Albert Panthers vs Saints, Thom Brennaman Buccaneers vs Lions, Dick Stockton Rams vs Redskins and Tim Brando Giants vs Titans.

    ReplyDelete
  41. As for Week 15. Either Bengals vs Browns or Dolphins vs Patriots will get crossflexed from CBS to FOX. I think most likely Bengals vs Browns get's crossflexed. I think that FOX would rather have Dolphins vs Patriots. What do you all think? And I will make my revised announcer predictions for Week 15 as soon as the final Week 15 schedule is announced.

    1. Doubt they would call Packers Lions, thats too good of a game. Also don't think they will call Packers Buccaneers. Also Jonathan, as a Buccaneers fan who has listened to them a lot, you don't want to see them call a game. Their terrible (at least Myers is, Ronde is okay) . But believe me their not good.

    2. You don't know that. That can happen at any time. Besides I would like to see Dick Stockton call at least one Packer game before he retires and I'm not sure when though.

    2. Not true. Rams-Redskins is a terrible matchup and Burkhardt/Lynch is the #2 team. Plus if you think about it Colts-Browns was moved to FOX which means its almost certain that it will be FOX's lead 1:00 game

    3. Week 14 predictions

      Seahawks-Eagles Joe Buck/Troy Aikman/Erin Andrews (confirmed)
      Colts-Browns Kevin Burkhardt/John Lynch/Pam Oliver
      Giants-Titans Kenny Albert/Daryl Johnston/Tony Siragusa
Bucs-Lions Justin Kutcher or Thom Brennaman/David Diehl/Laura Okmin
      49ers-Raiders Chris Myers/Ronde Barber/Jennifer Hale (confirmed)
Panthers-Saints Thom Brennaman or Dick Stockton/Donovan McNabb or Kirk Morrison or Brady Quinn/Kristina Pink
Rams-Redskins Dick Stockton or Tim Brando/Brendon Ayanbadejo or Brady Quinn

    1. I agree with your picks for Week 14. But for Week 15 and 16 here are my announcer predictions.

      Week 15
      Joe Buck 49ers vs Seahawks

Kevin Burkhardt either Dolphins vs Patriots or Bengals vs Browns (I think that Bengals vs Browns will get crossflexed) But I know FOX probably prefers Dolphins vs Patriots)

      Kenny Albert Packers vs Bills

      Thom Brennaman Redskins vs Giants

      Chris Myers Vikings vs Lions

      Dick Stockton Buccaneers vs Panthers

      Delete
    2. I got a question to ask everyone. Let's assume either Dolphins vs Patriots or Bengals vs Browns get's crossflexed. Will it be at the 1:00 broadcast window for 4:25 national window? If it's Dolphins vs Patriots. I say that it will be in the 1:00 widow and if it's Bengals vs Browns 4:25 widow.

      Delete
    3. And I agree with your announcer predictions for Week 16.

    2. But why is Justin Kutcher on the number 4th team if Thom Brennaman is demoted to number 6 and Dick Stockton to number 7? It doesn't make any sense to me.

      Delete
    3. I think Justin Kutcher should be high on the number 4th team. Thom Brennaman is terrible. He should be demoted to number 6th team, so did Dick Stockton. Dick Stockton should be demoted to number 7th team.

  48. Hey Ben, do you suppose know when Gus Johnson will call any game?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. While I don't know for sure, he and Davis will likely get work after next weekend as their college slate is over. However, there are only five games in weeks 15 & 16 on Fox before any flex so he may not work until week 17.

  50. As for Week 16. Most likely there won't be any crossflex between CBS and FOX.

    ReplyDelete
  51. My guess was that in Week 16 between the Detroit Lions and the Chicago Bears that game will get cross flexed between FOX and CBS and will also get put into the Late Afternoon slot on CBS. So that a CBS Noon game will get cross flexed from CBS to FOX. And my guessing announcers for the Lions and Bears game will be Joe Buck, Troy Aikman, and Erin Andrews.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. My bad Fox announcers can't call on CBS. That will be my prediction announcers if the game stays on Fox. My guess for the possible cross-flexing game will be Greg Gumbel, Trent Green, and Evan Washburn.

  52. I doubt that Burkhardt and Lynch will call Browns-Bengals.

    ReplyDelete
  53. There is NO QUESTION that Buck/Aikman/Andrews will get the 49ers-Seahawks Week 15 rematch in the Pacific Northwest.

    ReplyDelete
  54. Browns are 7-5 and I don't think that they are in playoff contention at all so I don't think Burkhardt and Lynch will call Browns-Bengals game. Fox screws it all up and they don't do it right as CBS does.

    ReplyDelete
  55. I believe that Brenden Ayanbadejo will replace Charles Davis, who will join ESPN's College Football, as an analyst on College Football next year. He will team up with Gus Johnson.

    ReplyDelete
  77. If Thom Brennaman's vocal cord falls, he should be demoted to #6 team next year. Justin Kutcher will be promoted to #4 play-by-play while Thom Brennaman will be demoted to #6 and Dick Stockton demoted to #7 next year.
