So Super Bowl XLVIII is being played where?

Super Bowl XLVIII is being played in exactly one week. So in order to help kick off all the festivities and the hoopla, here's a geographical lesson.

The big game next week will be played at a venue called MetLife Stadium, as I am sure you all are aware of. But where is this MetLife Stadium? Let's take a look at a map.

Now wait a minute, I thought this was a New York Super Bowl? After all, all the networks (specifically Fox Sports & ESPN) are setting up shop in something called Times Square (or Herald Square) in a little town called Rat City New York. But you're telling me this game is being played in New Jersey?

You're damn right I am. People can say whatever they want, it's really a New York game, it's a New York/New Jersey production, it's the New York metro area, etc. Super Bowl XLVIII is being played in East Rutherford, New Jersey, and that is not going to change no matter what the NFL, what the media or anybody else wants to think and wants you to think

So you can have all your little parties and shenanigans in New York, but this is a New Jersey Super Bowl. No ifs, ands or buts.

Disclosure: I am a proud New Jersey native, just in case you did not get the memo.
