2013-14 NBA Predictions

The Miami Heat may not get to the seven titles that they were promising when the "Big Three" came together in Miami three and a half years ago, but after winning their second title in a row, it would appear that the championship road runs through South Beach. Can LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh and friends become the first club to threepeat since Los Angeles in 2000-02? Will they be upset by an Eastern club? Or will a deep Western Conference have something to say about that? Here are my 2013-14 NBA predictions.

2013-14 NBA on ESPN Schedule

The ESPN's NBA coverage begins with the opening week of the 2013-14 NBA season next week. The big news surrounding their coverage is their new studio crew, their best ever in my opinion, with newcomers in host Sage Steele and analyst (the great) Doug Collins join Jalen Rose and Bill Simmons on Friday and weekend games. The Wednesday studio crew will feature Rose with Avery Johnson and the excellent Doris Burke. Here is the 2013-14 schedule for the NBA on ESPN.

2013-14 NBA on TNT Schedule

The NBA on TNT has long been a favored broadcast partner of fans of the NBA and it returns for its 26th season when the 2013-14 NBA season kicks off next Tuesday. 2013-14 NBA on ABC Schedule

The American Broadcasting Company returns once again as the NBA's broadcast television partner and their coverage will kick off with a doubleheader on Christmas day. What's big news for them is that they have a new studio arrangement (just about par for the course) but this studio arrangement looks to be their best by far with new host Sage Steele and Doug Collins joining Jalen Rose and Bill Simmons. Here is the 2013-14 schedule, to be filled in with announcers all season long, for the NBA on ABC.

2013 NFL Predictions: Week 8

There is only one undefeated team remaining in the NFL and it is (drumroll, please) the Kansas City Chiefs. One year from having the worst record in the league, they have brought in a new coach, a new quarterback, and bada bing, the kids are 7-0. Can they move on to 8-0? Or can the Browns go into Arrowhead and pull off an upset? Here are my week eight picks.

We are around halfway in the 2013-14 college football campaign and thus it seems like a good time to crank out the inaugural bowl projections post, especially as the first BCS rankings came out on Sunday night. Will we see some more crazy football? Here are my week nine selections.

2013 World Series Predictions

Nobody loves World Series rematches more than this guy and in the 2013 edition, we have got ourselves a rematch of the 2004 Fall Classic as the Cardinals are the champions of the National League after taking out the Dodgers in six games while the Red Sox, who won their first championship since 1918 against St. Louis, are the champions of the American League by taking out the Red Sox, also in six. Who will be crowned champions of baseball? Here are my predictions for the 2013 World Series.

Watch Coyotes goalie Mike Smith beat the horn and score a goal

Who doesn't love a good, old-fashioned goal by the goalie? Well we saw an awesome one by Phoenix goaltender Mike Smith who flicked one into the open net in the waning seconds of a win over the Red Wings. He came damn close to not beating the horn, and that made it even better. Let's go to the videotape.
