Why the Trent Richardson trade, albeit shocking, is not as crazy as it seems

If it was not for Colts owner Jim Irsay hyping this one up here, here, here and here, this may have been even more shocking as Isray's team has pulled off a move that has shaken (in some cases literally) the NFL landscape. They have traded their first round selection in next year's draft to the Cleveland Browns in return for running back Trent Richardson, Cleveland's first round selection of a year prior.

Without question is this a shocking move as you do not see teams trading top three picks, especially one whom the club traded up for, so early in his sophomore season, but I actually can understand what Cleveland is doing here.

Is Bo Pelini swearing two years ago really a big deal?

Nebraska head coach Bo Pelini has made some headlines following a Deadspin report that he went off on a profane rant about local columnists as well as the team's own fans. The headline blares: "Bo Pelini On Nebraska Fans: 'F*** You, Fans. F*** All Of You."

This has all come about thanks to someone recording after Nebraska rallied to beat Ohio State on October 8, 2011 before taping a postgame interview. You read that correctly, 2011. And personally, I don't see what all the big deal is and I think this is just about a non-story.

2013 NFL Predictions: Week 3

When the juiciest storylines may come in the first game of the week, you know it is going to be a good time. Andy Reid is heading back to Philadelphia and his Chiefs are looking pretty good as they sit at 2-0. You think that he may have some fireflies about returning to the City of Brotherly Love? here are my week three picks.

2013 NFL on CBS Announcers & Distribution: Week 3

This will be CBS' second doubleheader of this young NFL season but in their first, it was a little graphic that caused some folks to whine. On their new "bottom line" graphic, when there is a winner of a game, their score is highlighted in yellow with a graphic on the right saying "FINAL." Sounds simple? Well not enough as there some complains that the yellow graphics looked like they were signifying a penalty flag, even though when you move your eyes to the graphic, during that one second, you clearly see the game is final. Even dumber, people actually thought that a network would put their penalty graphic at the bottom of the screen So people complained and apparently CBS, for some reason, will be making a change to this graphic to satisfy the folks that can't understand graphics. Cue Bill Clinton. Besides, I guarantee folks would have gotten used to it this week but whatever.

Anyways, after that nontroversy (yes, FINAL = FLAG), CBS has six games this week. In the early window, you've got Texans-Ravens, Browns-Vikings and Chargers-Titans, and in the national window, you've got Jaguars-Seahawks, Bills-Jets and Colts-49ers. 2013 College Football Predictions: Week 4

After all the hype and all the awesome play for the showdown in College Station with Alabama coming out on top, it will be hard for this week to live up to that but there are some fine games this week. Perhaps the strongest game will take place in Palo Alto Saturday night where the Arizona State Sun Devils, coming off a pretty controversial victory over Wisconsin, will try to upset the Cardinal of Stanford. Here are my week three college football picks.
