2013 MLB on Fox Announcers & Distribution: September 7th

As baseball enters its final month of the regular season, the races are heating up big time and thus every game counts. These races will take center stage on Fox Sports this Saturday with three tilts that have plenty of playoff implications. The AL East-leading Red Sox will visit the Yankees, who are very much in the hunt for the Wild Card, in the lead game while others will see the NL West-dominating Dodgers visit one of the NL Wild Cards, the Reds, or some will see the Orioles, also in the Wild Card mix, host the White Sox. Continue reading for announcing assignments and distribution splits.

Who will make the 2013 Chase for the Sprint Cup?

It has been a fun and wild Sprint Cup Series season and with only one race until the 2013 Chase for the Sprint Cup kicks off, the field is mostly set as six drivers (Jimmie Johnson, Clint Bowyer, Kevin Harvick, Carl Edwards, Kyle Busch and Matt Kenseth) are locked into a top ten points finish as well as Kasey Kahne, who has clinched at least a Wild Card spot with his two wins. Therefore, there are five spots to be had. Who will get into the Chase field Saturday night at Richmond?

2013 NFL Awards Predictions

For the first time since 2006, the Most Valuable Player of the National Football League was not a quarterback. On the basis of his incredible season in which he not only came very close to breaking the season record for rushing yards but also carried the Minnesota Vikings to the playoffs for the first time since 2009, Adrian Peterson was honored with the award. Can he repeat? Or will we revert back to the trend of quarterbacks winning MVP? And how about the other awards? Here are my predictions for 2013.

2013 College Football Predictions: Week 2

It certainly was a fun start to the 2013 College Football season and it was defined by the FCS, who racked up six victories over BCS programs. North Dakota State knocked off Kansas State in late fashion on Thursday night, Towson took out Connecticut, McNeese State (pictured) drilled South Florida, Northern Iowa defeated Iowa State and Eastern Washington won a shootout with Oregon State, the first time a ranked team fell to an FCS squad since Virginia Tech fell to James Madison in 2010. Now it is unrealistic to see such success by the lower division continue into this week, but now the bigger foes will be on their heels. With that in mind, here are my predictions for week two.

2013 NFL on Fox Announcers & Distribution: Week 1

The NFL is officially back this weekend and as in seasons' past, Fox Sports has itself a doubleheader. Six games will be aired in the two windows. In the early window, you have got Vikings-Lions, Buccaneers-Jets, Falcons-Saints and Seahawks-Panthers. Then in the national window, you have got Packers-49ers and Cardinals-Rams. Continue reading to see who will be calling which game and which game you will be getting in your neck of the woods on the NFL on Fox.

2013 NFL Predictions: Week 1

Football is back my friends as this Thursday night in Denver, the 2013 NFL season kicks off as the defending Super Bowl champion Baltimore Ravens will visit the Broncos. There are a bunch of quality games this weekend so let's get right to my inaugural predictions for the season.

Ray Lewis: Super Bowl Blackout Truther

Remember the blackout during Super Bowl XLVII? Great moment in sports history, right? Actually not really and it did mar a little memories of the game, which was a classic. It has been widely reported that a faulty piece of equipment was to blame but former Ravens linebacker Ray Lewis thinks it was something a little more nefarious.

Watch a woman slap Max Papis after the Truck Series race in Canada

Today's Chevy Silverado 250 at Canadian Tire Motorsports Park, the first Camping World Truck Series race on a road course in 13 years, just about had it all. You had the leader, Ty Dillon, getting turned in the final corner after trying to block Chase Elliott, the son of legend Bill Elliott, lot of physical racing on the final lap with plenty of heightened tensions. Elliott ended up winning, becoming the youngest winner in series history at 17, but what may be remembered the most came after the race. Max Papis had been racing very hard with Mike Skeen all race and the two ended up wrecking on the final lap after Skeen attempting a dive bomb. The drivers exchanged plenty of words after the race, and then an unidentified woman Skeen's girlfriend got in Papis' face and slapped him. This actually happened. Let's go to the videotape.

Watch FAU coach Carl Pelini call for a QB spike on 4th down

We now have another induction into the Les Miles Questionable and Bizarre Clock Management Hall of Fame courtesy of Florida Atlantic coach Carl Pelini. With only seconds remaining in a beatdown at the hands of the Miami Hurricanes, Pelini calls for his quarterback Jaquez Johnson to spike the ball to stop the clock. However, it was fourth down and Pelini's reaction is hilarious. Let's go to the videotape.
