2013 Kentucky Derby Picks

The 139th running of the most famous horse race in America, the Kentucky Derby, is this Saturday at the legendary Churchill Downs in Louisville. It is the first leg of the Triple Crown of Thoroughbred Racing and is known as the "Most Exciting Two Minutes in Sports." Who's going to win the Run for the Roses? Here are my predictions.

Reggie Miller is a clown, which is something we can all agree on. So naturally, while giving a postgame speech to the Warriors after they did everything they could to give game 6 of their series with the Nuggets to Denver, Miller dipped into the colorful side of his vocabulary. 2013 MLB on FOX Announcers & Distribution: May 4th

Hey, we've got Joe Buck back on FOX Saturday Baseball, and hopefully he left his shoddy beard at him. For the first time in a month, he will be calling FOX's lead game this Saturday as the Orioles will head out west to Anaheim to face off with the Angels. Shaquille O'Neal is about to get out of control. After all, didn't he just run around the NBA on TNT set in his underwear? Well his cell phone went off last night while Charles Barkley was making a point and then when he decided to toss it off set, everything went off the rails. Let's go to the videotape.

Are the Blue Jays done?

Perhaps the biggest disappointment in baseball this season has been our friends north of the border. As we all can recall, Toronto was extremely aggressive in the offseason, with the help of the Marlins in part, bringing in R.A. Dickey, Jose Reyes, Josh Johnson, Mark Buehrle, Melky Cabrera among others and remaking a club that sagged to a 73-89 finish. Expectations were pretty high with goons like myself predicting them to win the AL East. However as of today, they are in last place in the division with a 9-17 record and are tied for the second worse record in baseball. Are they done?

What Jason Collins coming out means for sports

For the first time in professional North American team sports, there is an openly gay athlete. Veteran center Jason Collins, who has spent time with the Nets, Grizzlies, Timberwolves, Hawks, Celtics and most recently with the Wizards, came out in an interview with Sports Illustrated's Frank Lidz that will be appear in the May 6 issue. He has made history by doing so and sports as we know it will not be the same again.
