2013 College Football Predictions: Week 14

While we sit down this Thanksgiving weekend for some fine Turducken action, how about we add on a little college football action on top? For several conferences, this is the final week before the conference championship games and for the others, there is still much to be decided, and as we know, the computers are always watching. And yet again, we have got all eyes on the Iron Bowl which has an enormous amount at stake on Saturday. Here are my predictions for week 14.

Tuesday, November 26th
Western Michigan vs. #18 Northern Illinois - ESPN2, 7:00
Pick: Northern Illinois

Texas Tech vs. Texas - Fox Sports 1, 7:30
Will the Red Raiders' slide ever end? Not this week as Texas will send out Mack Brown the right way in his final home game.
Pick: Texas

Ole Miss vs. Mississippi State - ESPN, 8:00
Pick: Ole Miss

Friday, November 29th
East Carolina vs. Marshall - CBS Sports Network, 12:00
This game will decide the East Division of C-USA and it should be a great one as these clubs are balanced with strong offenses and defenses. With how good the Thundering Hood have looked, as well as their homefield advantage here, I give them a slight edge.
Pick: Marshall

Toledo vs. Akron - ESPN3, 12:00
Pick: Toledo

SMU vs. Houston - ESPN2, 12:00
Pick: Houston

Iowa vs. Nebraska - ABC, 12:00
Pick: Nebraska

Miami (OH) vs. Ball State - ESPN3, 1:00
Pick: Ball State

Bowling Green vs. Buffalo (Orchard Park) - ESPNU, 1:30
We've got a battle here at the Ralph for the MAC East Division to get to Detroit next week. I do think that the Falcons are the stronger club across the board, however.
Pick: Bowling Green

Texas State vs. Troy - ESPN3, 2:00
Pick: Troy

UMass vs. Ohio - ESPN3, 2:00
Pick: Ohio

Eastern Michigan vs. Central Michigan - ESPN3, 2:00
Pick: Central Michigan

Arkansas vs. #15 LSU - CBS, 2:30
Pick: LSU

FIU vs. FAU - Fox Sports 1, 3:00
Pick: FAU

#16 Fresno State vs. San Jose State - CBS Sports Network, 3:30
David Fales will keep the Spartans in the mix for a while but they don't have much to stand in the way of Derek Carr.
Pick: David Fales

Miami (FL) vs. Pittsburgh - ABC, 3:30
Pick: Miami (FL)

Washington State vs. Washington - Fox, 3:30
Wazzu is finally going bowling again but Washington has a lot of momentum after the demolition of the Beavers in Corvallis.
Pick: Washington

Oregon State vs. #12 Oregon - Fox Sports 1, 7:00
Both teams are coming off bad losses but Oregon State does not have anything close to a strong enough defense to hold off the Ducks.
Pick: Oregon

USF vs. #17 UCF - ESPN, 8:00
Pick: UCF

Saturday, November 30th
Kansas State vs. Kansas - Fox Sports 1, 12:00
Pick: Kansas State

#2 Florida State vs. Florida - ESPN, 12:00
Yeah, that's not going to happen.
Pick: Florida State

Temple vs. Memphis - ESPNEWS, 12:00
Pick: Memphis

#24 Duke vs. North Carolina - ESPN2, 12:00
Everybody loves the Duke story but I'm not sure that they can quite match UNC on the road with how well the Tar Heels have been executing offensively.
Pick: North Carolina

#3 Ohio State vs. Michigan - ABC, 12:00
Michigan couldn't move the football against my high school, so I don't think they'll fare too well even at home.
Pick: Ohio State

Wake Forest vs. Vanderbilt - SEC TV, 12:00
Pick: Vanderbilt

Minnesota vs. #11 Michigan State - BTN, 12:00
Minnesota is a fine club but they have no chance of moving the ball in East Lansing.
Pick: Michigan State

Maryland vs. NC State - ACC Network, 12:30
Pick: Maryland

Southern Miss vs. UAB - CBSSports.com ULive, 1:00
Pick: UAB

Air Force vs. Colorado State - ESPN3, 2:00
Pick: Colorado State

South Alabama vs. Georgia State - ESPN3, 2:00
Pick: South Alabama

Wyoming vs. Utah State - Root Sports, 2:00
Pick: Utah State

Colorado vs. Utah - Pac-12 Network, 2:00
Pick: Utah

North Texas vs. Tulsa - Fox Sports Networks, 2:30
Pick: North Texas

Tulane vs. Rice - Fox College Sports, 3:00
A major game in deciding the C-USA West, Tulane's struggles on the road as well as their mediocre offense will prevent them from victory.
Pick: Rice

BYU vs. Nevada - CBS Sports Network, 3:00
Pick: BYU

Boston College vs. Syracuse - ACC Network (RSN), 3:30
Pick: Syracuse

Northwestern vs. Illinois - BTN, 3:30
The Wildcats finally get off the schneid.
Pick: Northwestern

Purdue vs. Indiana - BTN, 3:30
Pick: Indiana

Idaho vs. New Mexico State - Aggie Vision, 3:30
Please don't watch this.
Pick: New Mexico State

#9 Baylor vs. TCU - ESPN2, 3:30
They need a bounce-back and thus it's a good thing TCU is awful.
Pick: Baylor

Virginia Tech vs. Virginia - ESPNU, 3:30
Pick: Virginia Tech

Georgia vs. Georgia Tech - ABC, 3:30
Without Aaron Murray, it's going to be pretty tough for the Bulldogs. I like Tech.
Pick: Georgia Tech

Penn State vs. #14 Wisconsin - ESPN, 3:30
The Nittany Lions have struggled on the road while the Badgers are playing great football. Give me the home team.
Pick: Wisconsin

Louisiana Tech vs. UTSA - CSS, 3:30
Pick: UTSA

#1 Alabama vs. #4 Auburn - CBS, 3:30
Huge implications for this showdown in Auburn but while I do not think that the Tide are as strong in years past, I do not think that the Tigers are strong enough, even at home, to pull this off.
Pick: Alabama

UTEP vs. Middle Tennessee - WUXP, 3:45
Pick: Middle Tennessee

Iowa State vs. West Virginia - Fox Sports 1, 4:00
Pick: West Virginia

Arkansas State vs. Western Kentucky - ESPN3, 4:00
I'm feeling an upset here, although I'm not entirely sure that this is an upset
Pick: Western Kentucky

#25 Notre Dame vs. #8 Stanford - Fox, 7:00
The Fighting Irish are crafty but I'm not smelling an upset thanks to their inconsistent offense.
Pick: Stanford

Louisiana-Monroe vs. Louisiana-Lafayette - Sun Belt Network, 7:00
Pick: Louisiana-Lafayette

#6 Clemson vs. #10 South Carolina - ESPN2, 7:00
Clemson really hasn't played anybody since the Florida State beatdown so I think it will be a tough go for the club on the road in Columbia.
Pick: South Carolina

Tennessee vs. Kentucky - ESPNU, 7:00
Pick: Tennessee

#19 Texas A&M vs. #5 Missouri - ESPN, 7:45
This just has the feeling of classic Mizzou let down right here. Johnny Manziel will bounce back strong and led the Aggies to the win.
Pick: Texas A&M

#22 UCLA vs. #23 USC - ABC, 8:00
I do liked how the Bruins fought back hard in the second half against ASU, even though they did end up losing, and I think they will make the Ed Orgeron love subside a little.
Pick: UCLA

Arizona vs. #13 Arizona State - Pac-12 Network, 9:30
There are few teams that Arizona could not beat with how well they play against Oregon on Saturday, but I doubt we will see a performance that fine this week.
Pick: Arizona State

New Mexico vs. Boise State - ESPN2, 10:15
Pick: Boise State

San Diego State vs. UNLV - ESPNU, 10:30
Pick: San Diego State

Army vs. Hawaii - Pay-Per-View/Mountain West Network, 11:00
Pick: Army
