2013 College Football Predictions: Week 12

I think the questions over whether or not the Baylor Bears are for real are over with. Now the path to the BCS for the first time is clear if they can handle their final four games in the Big 12. They get Texas Tech this weekend in Arlington and they have dropped three in a row. Will the Bears continue to light up scoreboards across the country? Here are my picks for week 12.

Tuesday, November 12th
Buffalo vs. Toledo - ESPNU, 7:30
This is a tough pick between two strong MAC clubs but with how the Bulls have been rolling (seven wins a row), I like them to put together a nice road win.
Pick: Buffalo

Ohio vs. Bowling Green - ESPN3, 7:30
Not many clubs are known for their defense in the MAC but Bowling Green definitely applies. They'll get just enough offense to slide by Ohio.
Pick: Bowling Green

Wednesday, November 13th
Miami (OH) vs. Kent State - ESPNU, 8:00
Pick: Kent State

Ball State vs. #20 Northern Illinois - ESPN2, 8:00
This is the game of the year in the MAC and boy will there be plenty of offense between Jordan Lynch and the Huskies and Keith Wenning and the Cardinals. Ball State can win, but their porous defense will hold them back just enough against Lynch.
Pick: Northern Illinois

Thursday, November 14th
Marshall vs. Tulsa - Fox Sports 1, 7:30
Pick: Marshall

Georgia Tech vs. #8 Clemson - ESPN, 7:30
Pick: Clemson

Friday, November 15th
Washington vs. #13 UCLA - ESPN2, 9:00
Since those losses to Stanford and Oregon, the Bruins have been doing work. This will be close but give me the home team.
Pick: UCLA

Saturday, November 16th
Cincinnati vs. Rutgers - ESPNEWS, 12:00
Pick: Cincinnati

Troy vs. Ole Miss - ESPNU, 12:00
Pick: Ole Miss

Indiana vs. #17 Wisconsin - ESPN2, 12:00
If the Hossiers had a defense...
Pick: Wisconsin

#3 Ohio State vs. Illinois - ESPN, 12:00
Pick: Ohio State

West Virginia vs. Kansas - FSN, 12:00
Pick: West Virginia

Iowa State vs. #22 Oklahoma - Fox Sports 1, 12:00
Pick: Oklahoma

Kentucky vs. Vanderbilt - SEC TV, 12:00
Pick: Vanderbilt

Purdue vs. Penn State - BTN, 12:00
Pick: Penn State

#15 UCF vs. Temple - AAC Network, 12:00
Pick: UCF

Central Michigan vs. Western Michigan - ESPN Plus, 12:00
Pick: Central Michigan

FAU vs. Southern Miss - CSS, 12:30
Pick: Southern Miss

NC State vs. Boston College - FSN, 12:30
So BC is in track to go to a bowl game, how about that job done by Steve Addazio.
Pick: Boston College

Maryland vs. Virginia Tech - ACC Network, 12:30
The Terps are in trouble and where did that performance come from from the Hokies in Miami Gardens?
Pick: Virginia Tech

North Carolina vs. Pittsburgh - ACC Network, 12:30
The Heels have been playing very well over the past three weeks and I think Pitt's upset home win against the Fighting Irish may have been a fluke.
Pick: North Carolina

Akron vs. UMass - ESPN3, 1:00
Pick: Akron

Washington State vs. Arizona - Pac-12 Network, 2:00
Pick:

Louisiana-Lafayette vs. Georgia State - ESPN3, 2:00
Pick: Louisiana-Lafayette

UAB vs. East Carolina - WITN, 2:00
Pick: East Carolina

UConn vs. SMU - ESPN3, 3:00
Pick: SMU

Idaho State vs. BYU - BYUtv, 3:00
Pick: BYU

Michigan vs. Northwestern - BTN, 3:30
The Wolverines really are not that good but the Wildcats have been a huge disappointment in conference play.
Pick: Michigan

Syracuse vs. #2 Florida State - ABC/ESPN2, 3:30
Pick: Florida State

#14 Michigan State vs. Nebraska - ABC/ESPN2, 3:30
People want Bo Pelini fired but they remain very much in the hunt in the Legends division and can take the lead by winning the division leader in Michigan State. But with how good the Spartans are on defense, I think they will continue to roll.
Pick: Michigan State

#12 Oklahoma State vs. #23 Texas - Fox, 3:30
I'd say that the Cowboys' loss in Morgantown was a fluke because they have looked tremendous since. Meanwhile, Texas has looked great since the disastrous Ole Miss loss as they have won six in a row. But even at home, Texas will be the inferior team.
Pick: Oklahoma State

#25 Georgia vs. #7 Auburn - CBS, 3:30
The Tigers have looked tremendous under Gus Malzahn, but I think they are bound for a home upset as Aaron Murray and co. will have something to prove.
Pick: Georgia

#24 Miami (FL) vs. Duke - ESPNU, 3:30
The Canes were awful against Virginia Tech and they better not sleep on a fine Duke squad.
Pick: Miami (FL)

TCU vs. Kansas State - FSN, 3:30
Pick: Kansas State

South Alabama vs. Navy - CBS Sports Network, 3:30
Pick: Navy

Utah vs. #6 Oregon - Fox Sports 1, 4:00
Pick: Oregon

Cal vs. Colorado - Pac-12 Network, 5:30
Pick: Cal

Houston vs. #19 Louisville - ESPNU, 7:00
As I have said before, this Houston team is good, just not as good as Louisville.
Pick: Louisville

#4 Baylor vs. Texas Tech (Arlington) - Fox, 7:00
I think the Red Raiders' slide will continue as they will have no chance defensively against the Bears.
Pick: Baylor

Louisiana Tech vs. Rice - CBS Sports Network, 7:00
Pick: Rice

Florida vs. #11 South Carolina - ESPN2, 7:00
So I hear Ron Zook is available.
Pick: South Carolina

Memphis vs. USF - ESPN3, 7:00
Pick: USF

Colorado State vs. New Mexico - Root Sports, 7:00
Pick: Colorado State

Texas State vs. Arkansas State - Sun Belt Network, 7:30
The Bobcats are going to have to rely on their strong defense as they are absolutely awful offensively, but that is not a good thing against Arkansas State.
Pick: Arkansas State

#1 Alabama vs. Mississippi State - ESPN, 7:45
As least the Bulldogs made it interesting in College Station last week.
Pick: Alabama

FIU vs. UTEP - 8:00
Pick: UTEP

#5 Stanford vs. USC - ABC, 8:00
Ed Orgeron has the Trojans balling right now and they will give Stanford all they can handle. I don't think they can go over the top, but we shall see.
Pick: Stanford

Oregon State vs. #21 Arizona State - Pac-12 Network, 9:30
Plenty of offense here but I do think the Sun Devils are more explosive.
Pick: Arizona State

Wyoming vs. Boise State - ESPN2, 10:15
Pick: Boise State

San Jose State vs. Nevada - ESPNU, 10:30
Pick: San Jose State

San Diego State vs. Hawaii - CBS Sports Network, 10:30
Pick: San Diego State
