2013 College Football Predictions: Week 9

It certainly was a wild week of college football as we saw a number of upsets just about everywhere. It all kicked off with the Knights of Central Florida stunning the undefeated Louisville Cardinals on the road on Friday night. Then on Saturday, we saw Tennessee take out #11 South Carolina, Vanderbilt take out #15 Georgia and then it concluded with the Rebels of Ole Miss shocking #6 LSU in Oxford. Will we see some more crazy football? Here are my week nine selections.

Tuesday, October 22nd
Louisiana-Lafayette vs. Arkansas State - ESPN2, 8:00
Again, we love Tuesday night football and we should get plenty of points in Jonesboro and that has to favor the Cajuns.
Pick: Louisiana-Lafayette

Thursday, October 24th
Marshall vs. Middle Tennessee - Fox Sports 1, 7:30
Pick: Marshall

Kentucky vs. Mississippi State - ESPN, 7:30
Pick: Mississippi State

Friday, October 25th
Boise State vs. BYU - ESPN, 8:00
This will be a fun one but it always is tough to win in Provo and while Boise is good, BYU may be better.
Pick: BYU

Saturday, October 26th
#18 Louisville vs. USF - ESPN2, 12:00
Louisville losing was a big surprise and they need a big comeback win. The Bulls are looking better after a dismal start, but they aren't that good.
Pick: Louisville

Houston vs. Rutgers - ESPNEWS, 12:00
Rutgers does not have the offensive firepower that the Cougars do, but coming off a bye, they should be able to slow them down just enough.
Pick: Rutgers

UConn vs. #21 UCF - AAC Network, 12:00
I liked UCF, but now they have an inside track to get to the BCS, and that's awesome.
Pick: UCF

Wake Forest vs. #7 Miami (FL) - ESPNU, 12:00
Pick: Miami (FL)

#25 Nebraska vs. Minnesota - ESPN, 12:00
Nebraska has looked very good ever since the Bo Pelini tape nonsense and I think that will continue.
Pick: Nebraska

Northwestern vs. Iowa - BTN, 12:00
Will the Wildcats' slide continue? I think it will, unfortunately.
Pick: Iowa

#19 Oklahoma State vs. Iowa State - FSN, 12:00
Pick: Oklahoma State

Vanderbilt vs. #14 Texas A&M - SEC TV, 12:00
Vandy pulled off a nice upset against Georgia at home while A&M fell to Auburn. I don't think either will pull off the same result against each other.
Pick: Texas A&M

Ball State vs. Akron - ESPN+, 12:00
Pick: Ball State

Georgia Tech vs. Virginia - ACC Network (OTA), 12:00
Pick: Georgia Tech

Pittsburgh vs. Navy - CBS Sports Network, 1:00
Pick: Pittsburgh

Miami (OH) vs. Ohio - ESPN3, 2:00
Pick: Ohio

Toledo vs. Bowling Green - ESPN3, 2:30
Pick: Bowling Green

Western Michigan vs. UMass - ESPN3, 3:00
Pick: Western Michigan

Temple vs. SMU - ESPN3, 3:00
Pick: SMU

Tennessee vs. #1 Alabama - CBS, 3:30
The Vols pulled off a big win against South Carolina, but good luck in Tuscaloosa.
Pick: Alabama

#10 Texas Tech vs. #17 Oklahoma - Fox, 3:30
The Sooners have not looked that impressive in a month and Kansas gave them some struggles. I like a very good Tech team to go into Norman and pull off the upset.
Pick: Texas Tech

UTEP vs. Rice - CSS, 3:30
Pick: Rice

Tulsa vs. Tulane - CST, 3:30
The Green Wave are legit, my friends.
Pick: Tulane

#9 Clemson vs. Maryland - ESPN, 3:30
Pick: Clemson

Michigan State vs. Illinois - ABC/ESPN2, 3:30
Pick: Michigan State

NC State vs. #3 Florida State - ABC/ESPN2, 3:30
Could FSU be in store for a let down? I'm not thinking so.
Pick: Florida State

Boston College vs. North Carolina - ACC Network (RSN), 3:30
The wheels are starting to come off in Chapel Hill and when they lose to the Eagles of all people, it's only going to get worse.
Pick: Boston College

Duke vs. #16 Virginia Tech - ESPNU, 3:30
Pick: Virginia Tech

Eastern Michigan vs. #23 Northern Illinois - CSN Chicago, 3:30
It's not too often that you see a quarterback rush for 318 yards like Jordan Lynch did against Central Michigan, and it's a real possibility that the Huskies get back to the BCS now.
Pick: Northern Illinois

Buffalo vs. Kent State - Time Warner Cable Sports Channel, 3:30
With his back against the wall this year, Jeff Quinn has done a tremendous job with Buffalo and they are primed for their second bowl game overall and first since 2008.
Pick: Buffalo

West Virginia vs. Kansas State - Fox Sports 1, 3:45
This is a tough game to call but I think the Wildcats can control the clock and hold up defensively to win a tight one.
Pick: Kansas State

Troy vs. Western Kentucky - ESPN3, 4:00
Pick: Western Kentucky

Utah vs. USC - Pac-12 Network, 4:00
The Utes came back to earth against Arizona and I think that'll continue against USC.
Pick: USC

UAB vs. UTSA - Time Warner Cable Sports Channel (TX), 5:00
Pick: UTSA

Notre Dame vs. Air Force - CBS Sports Network, 5:00
Pick: Notre Dame

UNLV vs. Nevada - ESPN3, 6:00
Pick: UNLV

Louisiana Tech vs. FIU - CBSSports.com, 6:00
Pick: Louisiana Tech

#20 South Carolina vs. #5 Missouri - ESPN2, 7:00
The Tigers have been awesome on both sides of the ball and they did not miss a beat without James Franklin. That said, I think they may be prone for a stumble job.
Pick: South Carolina

#12 UCLA vs. #2 Oregon - ESPN, 7:00
Another club that has to do the Stanford-Oregon two-step is going to fall in that effort yet again.
Pick: Oregon

#6 Baylor vs. Kansas - ESPNU, 7:00
Pick: Baylor

North Texas vs. Southern Miss - Fox College Sports, 7:00
Seriously, what happened to a once proud program in Hattiesburg?
Pick: North Texas

Furman vs. #13 LSU - ESPN3, 7:00
Pick: LSU

Georgia State vs. Louisiana-Monroe - ESPN3, 7:00
Pick: Louisiana-Monroe

South Alabama vs. Texas State - ESPN3, 7:00
Pick: Texas State

Wyoming vs. San Jose State - Root Sports, 7:00
Pick: San Jose State

FAU vs. #11 Auburn - FSN, 7:30
Pick: Auburn

Idaho vs. Ole Miss - CSS, 7:30
Pick: Ole Miss

Texas vs. TCU - Fox Sports 1, 7:30
Can the Horns keep it up after dominating Oklahoma going into the bye last week? I think so.
Pick: Texas

Abilene Christian vs. New Mexico State - Aggie Vision, 8:00
Pick: New Mexico State

Arizona vs. Colorado - Pac-12 Network, 8:00
Pick: Arizona

Penn State vs. #4 Ohio State - ABC, 8:00
Considering how all over the place the B1G is, and with how OSU hasn't looked great, I feel like they are bound for a loss. I'm just not that confident that Christian Hackenberg can go on the road and pull off this upset.
Pick: Ohio State

#15 Fresno State vs. San Diego State - ESPN2, 10:30
Pick: Fresno State

#8 Stanford vs. Oregon State - ESPN, 10:30
The Beavers are putting up offensive numbers like it's nobody's business, but they can't stop anybody either.
Pick: Stanford

Cal vs. Washington - Fox Sports 1, 11:00
The Huskies have gone through a tough few weeks, but it is a good thing Cal is a mess
Pick: Washington

Colorado State vs. Hawaii - Oceanic Pay-Per-View, 11:59
Pick: Colorado State
