2013 College Football Predictions: Week 7

The showdown between Boise State and Utah State in Ogden was all set to be a great game with plenty on the line in the Mountain division of the Mountain West, but then star Aggies QB Chuckie Keeton tore both his ACL and MCL in his left knee and is unfortunately lost for the year. Without their great quarterback, can the Aggies keep on moving forward towards a possible berth in the Mountain West title game, or will Boise have their way with them? Here are my picks for week seven.

Thursday, October 10th
Rutgers vs. #8 Louisville - ESPN, 7:30
The Scarlet Knights are easily Louisville's toughest opponent thus far but considering what Rutgers did to barely hold on against SMU, I would not get my hopes up.
Pick: Louisville

San Diego State vs. Air Force - CBS Sports Network, 9:00
Pick: San Diego State

Arizona vs. USC - Fox Sports 1, 10:30
The Ed Orgeron era begins in Exposition Park and while the Wildcats are a fine club, I think the Trojans will come out with a major chip on their shoulder and pull out a much-needed win.
Pick: USC

Friday, October 11th
Temple vs. Cincinnati - ESPN, 8:30
Pick: Cincinnati

Saturday, October 12th
#25 Missouri vs. #7 Georgia - ESPN, 12:00
In my opinion, with how dangerously the Bulldogs have been playing, they seem ripe for an upset. And yes, even at home, and yes, even against Missouri. With how good James Franklin has been looking at quarterback, they can keep up with Uga and I think we'll see some upset action.
Pick: Missouri

Indiana vs. Michigan State - ESPN2, 12:00
Can the Hoosiers do it again? I'm not buying it, at least not yet.
Pick: Michigan State

#12 Oklahoma vs. Texas (Dallas) - ABC, 12:00
This may just be Mack Brown's last stand, but this one could get ugly fast.
Pick: Oklahoma

Iowa State vs. #20 Texas Tech - Fox Sports 1, 12:00
I am really liking this Tech team on both sides of the ball. Paul Rhoads and his corps got screwed royally by the refs last week and they'll give it a go, but their offense doesn't have the juice.
Pick: Texas Tech

Kansas vs. TCU - FSN, 12:00
At least that fake punt was awesome.
Pick: TCU

Pittsburgh vs. #24 Virginia Tech - ESPNU, 12:00
Pick: Virginia Tech

Nebraska vs. Purdue - BTN, 12:00
Pick: Nebraska

Memphis vs. Houston - ESPNEWS, 12:00
Pick: Houston

USF vs. UConn - AAC Network, 12:00
Pick: UConn

Eastern Michigan vs. Army - CBS Sports Network, 12:00
Pick: Army

#14 South Carolina vs. Arkansas - SEC TV, 12:00
The Clowney stuff is a distraction but the Cocks are still a stronger club than Arkansas.
Pick: South Carolina

Navy vs. Duke - ACC Network (OTA), 12:30
Pick: Navy

Western Carolina vs. Auburn - CSS Pay-Per-View, 2:00
Pick: Auburn

Buffalo vs. Western Michigan - ESPN3, 2:00
Pick: Buffalo

Central Michigan vs. Ohio - TWC Sports Channel (Ohio), 2:00
Pick: Ohio

Kent State vs. Ball State - ESPN3, 3:00
The Cardinals might just be the top club in the conference, look out folks.
Pick: Ball State

#15 Baylor vs. Kansas State - Fox, 3:30
The Bears' offense is pretty good. Daniel Sams can make some plays for K-State, but he's no Collin Klein.
Pick: Baylor

#17 Florida vs. #10 LSU - CBS, 3:30
The Gators' offense is just not there to go into the Swamp and defeat the Tigers, who can move the ball very well on the offensive side of the ball. LSU big.
Pick: LSU

#19 Northwestern vs. Wisconsin - ABC/ESPN2, 3:30
The Wildcats came so close to upsetting the Buckeyes in Evanston but they fell apart late. I think they'll come out with a vengeance and take out the Badgers in Madison.
Pick: Northwestern

Boston College vs. #3 Clemson - ABC/ESPN2, 3:30
Pick: Clemson

Virginia vs. Maryland - ESPNU, 3:30
Pick: Maryland

New Mexico vs. Wyoming - Root Sports, 3:30
Pick: Wyoming

San Jose State vs. Colorado State - CBS Sports Network, 3:30
Pick: Colorado State

Syracuse vs. N.C. State - ACC Network (RSN) - 3:30
Pick: N.C. State

East Carolina vs. Tulane - WITN, 3:30
A potential C-USA title game preview? I'm feeling an upset here for the Green Wave, they've looked good for the first time in a long time.
Pick: Tulane

Troy vs. Georgia State - Sun Belt Network, 3:30
Pick: Troy

#2 Oregon vs. #16 Washington - Fox Sports 1, 4:00
I think that Washington, for the second week in a row, will come up just shy from a nice upset bid.
Pick: Washington

Rice vs. UTSA - TWC Sports Channel (Texas), 4:00
Pick: Rice

#18 Michigan vs. Penn State - ESPN, 5:00
The Nittany Lions got carved up through the air by Indiana and Nate Sudfeld and I don't have much reason to believe Devin Gardner and Michigan cannot do the same.
Pick: Michigan

Marshall vs. FAU - Fox College Sports, 5:00
Pick: Marshall

Akron vs. #23 Northern Illinois - ESPN3, 5:00
Pick: Northern Illinois

#5 Stanford vs. Utah - Pac-12 Network, 6:00
Pick: Stanford

Georgia Tech vs. BYU - ESPNU, 7:00
Expect a whole lot of running game action in Provo but I am not loving the Jackets' defense and how they have played of late.
Pick: BYU

#1 Alabama vs. Kentucky - ESPN2, 7:00
Well Kentucky did make it very interesting against South Carolina late last week...
Pick: Alabama

Louisiana-Monroe vs. Texas State - Longhorn Network, 7:00
Pick: Louisiana-Monroe

Idaho vs. Arkansas State - ESPN3, 7:00
Pick: Arkansas State

Middle Tennessee vs. North Texas - 7:00
Pick: North Texas

UAB vs. FIU - CSS, 7:30
Pick: UAB

Bowling Green vs. Mississippi State - SEC Network (FSN), 7:30
Pick: Mississippi State

Boise State vs. Utah State - CBS Sports Network, 8:00
Without the aforementioned Keeton, it is going to be very tough for the Aggies here.
Pick: Boise State

Hawaii vs. UNLV - Oceanic Pay-Per-View, 8:00
Pick: UNLV

Tulane vs. UTEP - Fox Sports 1, 8:00
What a great primetime game for FS1.
Pick: Tulane

#9 Texas A&M vs. Ole Miss - ESPN, 8:30
I think that Ole Miss has come back to earth a little bit with a pair of losses in a row, so it's not a great time for the Aggies to come to town.
Pick: Texas A&M

Colorado vs. Arizona State - Pac-12 Network, 10:00
Pick: Arizona

Oregon State vs. Washington State - ESPN2, 10:30
I like both clubs but the pirates are circling in the Palouse right now and I think that Mike Leach will bag a bigger fish this week.
Pick: Washington State

Cal vs. #11 UCLA - ESPNU, 10:30
The Bears and Sonny Dykes will have to continue waiting for their first FBS win in 2013.
Pick: UCLA

    1. That's bizarre because I did make a pick for each but I did have some issues with the internet when I was going this on the train. Fixing right now.
