2013 NFL on CBS Announcers

We should see some fresh new graphics for the NFL on CBS this year but, unsurprisingly, we will not see any fresh announcers as the crews remain stagnant from a year ago and thus from a year prior. Let's take a look at what we got for CBS this year.

NFL on CBS schedule

1. Jim Nantz, Phil Simms
2. Greg Gumbel, Dan Dierdorf
3. Ian Eagle, Dan Fouts
4. Marv Albert, Rich Gannon
5. Kevin Harlan, Solomon Wilcots
6. Bill Macatee, Steve Tasker
7. Spero Dedes, Steve Beuerlein

As mentioned earlier, no changes were expected from last year's crews and while we would have liked to see Eagle and Fouts move up to the coveted second crew spot, there was not any indication that that was a possibility.

  1. In one week, time warner cable can shove our cable boxes up their asses. Hello Verizon Fios and the return of CBS TV and there will be no turning back!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  2. In 2014, NFL on CBS will rehire Tim Brant and Jim Lampley. Tim Brant will replace Jim Nantz, and Jim Lampley will replace Greg Gumbel. Tim Brant will work with Phil Simms while Jim Lampley will work with Dan Dierdorf. Greg Gumbel appears to be demoted from #2 to #3 play-by-play. He should be working with Dan Fouts. Jim Nantz appears to be demoted from #1 to #4 play-by-play. He should be working with Rich Gannon.

    1. I'm just gonna go with a no on that one.

    2. I'd like to see Eagle and Fouts moved up to #2 or at least hope CBS gives them one of divisional matchups like FOX did with Brennaman and Billick last year. I like Gumbel and Dierdorf but it is time to move them down as Eagle and Fouts are better (personally, I think the Bird and the Beard would be great at #1).

    3. I think that Bill Macatee and Steve Tasker should be the #1 team with Nantz and Simms as the #6 announcer.

  3. I agree with you..i don't like jim nantz myself but he's in solid with the powers that be at CBS

  4. Get rid of Dierdorf so I don't have to use the mute on game days
