2013 Final Four Predictions

And then there were four. The 2013 NCAA Tournament has whittled down to its Final Four with one team most expected to get here (Louisville), a couple many are not surprised to see (Michigan and Syracuse) and one that nobody, except for undergrads and alumni, saw coming (Wichita State). Only two teams will survive and advance to the National Championship Game on Monday, but what teams will they be? Here are my predictions for the 2013 Final Four.

#1 Louisville vs. #9 Wichita State
Personally, I would love for the Shockers to shock (get it?) the Cardinals and the nation and get to the title game, I really would. Honestly, I just cannot see it. Louisville is just too talented and they have been rolling through this tournament, even going back to the regular season and the Big East tourney, it will take a colossal performance by Wichita to do it. And while I hate to play this card (get it?), the Cardinals are playing for Kevin Ware, and they did close the Duke game in impressive fashion after his injury.
Pick: Louisville

#4 Michigan vs. #4 Syracuse
Now this has the potential to be an excellent ballgame, and I hope it is because I just do not see the first game being all that close. The vaunted 2-3 zone of the Cuse is very strong, one of the best we have seen in years, and it has caused fits for every team they have faced in the tournament, but the Wolverines have the talent and the skill-sets on offense to overtake the Orange defense. Trey Burke has been incredible of late and if Mitch McGary can keep it up, they will advance. I am picking them to do so.
Pick: Michigan
