2013 Patriot League Tournament Predictions

Should be an interesting Patriot League Tournament this year. As always, the conference will be a one-bid league with the clear favorite being Mike Muscala and the Bison of Bucknell, who won the regular season title for the fourth year in a row. But could Lehigh make a run, particularly if C.J. McCollum somehow comes back from his ankle injury? What about Lafayette, who has won five in a row, including one over Bucknell? Here are my predictions for the tournament because after all, I am doing previews for every conference tourney.

*Full disclosure, I attend American University

Quarterfinals - March 6
#1 Bucknell vs. #8 Navy (7:00)
Pick: Bucknell

#4 Army vs. #5 American (7:00)
Pick: Army

#2 Lafayette vs. #7 Lafayette (7:00)
Pick: Lafayette

#3 Lehigh vs. #6 Colgate (7:00)
Pick: Lehigh

Semifinals - March 9
#2 Lafayette vs. #3 Lehigh (CBS Sports Network, 2:00)
I would be shocked if McCollum played in this game and he is Lehigh's only chance as they got swept by a hot Lafayette team this year.
Pick: Lafayette

#1 Bucknell vs. #4 Army (CBS Sports Network, 4:30)
Pick: Bucknell

Finals - March 13
#1 Bucknell vs. #2 Lafayette (CBS Sports Network, 7:30)
If this was on a neutral floor, the Leopards could have a shot. But considering the Patriot League plays its tournament at home sites, Bucknell is going to win.
Pick: Bucknell
