2013 Horizon League Tournament Predictions

Don't lie to me, you would only watch the Horizon League Tournament for Butler, there is nothing wrong with that. But there is still some quality hoops to be played this week and into next and there is an NCAA Tournament bid on the line, after all. Since I do have a stated goal of doing predictions for every conference tournament, here are my predictions for the 2013 Horizon League Tourney.

1st Round - March 5
#4 Green Bay vs. #9 Milwaukee (8:00)
Pick: Green Bay

#5 UIC vs. #8 Cleveland State (8:00)
Pick: UIC

#6 Youngstown State vs. #7 Loyola-Chicago (7:05)
Pick: Loyola-Chicago

Quarterfinals - March 8
#4 Green Bay vs. #5 UIC (8:30)
Pick: Green Bay

#3 Wright State vs. #7 Loyola-Chicago (6:05)
Pick: Wright State

Semifinals - March 9
#4 Green Bay vs. #1 Valparaiso (ESPNU, 8:30)
Pick: Valparaiso

#3 Wright State vs. #2 Detroit (ESPNU, 10:30)
Pick: Detroit

Final - March 12
#2 Detroit vs. #1 Valparaiso (ESPN, 9:00)
Valpo is solid, but I am a big Ray McCallum fan and I think he will lead the Titans into Valparaiso and pull the upset to get into the dance for the second straight year.
