2013 Big Ten Tournament Predictions

Let's be honest, the Big Ten (or should I say B1G Ten?) has been the best conference in America this college hoops season and thus this may be the most anticipated conference tournament of championship week with a number of teams capable of winning it all this week in Chicago. Therefore, here are my predictions for the 2013 Big Ten Tournament.

1st Round - March 14
#8 Illinois vs. #9 Minnesota (BTN, 12:00)
A big game for the bubble, it doesn't help that the Golden Gophers were a complete mess down the stretch, with losses to Nebraska and a beat-down at the hands of Purdue.
Pick:

#5 Michigan vs. #12 Penn State (BTN, 2:30)
Pick: Michigan

#7 Purdue vs. #10 Nebraska (ESPN2, 6:30)
Pick: Purdue

#6 Iowa vs. #11 Northwestern (ESPN2, 9:00)
Pick: Iowa

Quarterfinals - March 15
#1 Indiana vs. #8 Illinois (ESPN, 12:00)
Now if only Joe Tessitore was on the call...
Pick: Indiana

#4 Wisconsin vs. #5 Michigan (ESPN, 2:30)
I feel like Wisconsin is never comfortable unless they have to rely on a last-second shot. I think the Wolverines will come out strong and take them out.
Pick: Michigan

#2 Ohio State vs. #7 Purdue (BTN, 6:30)
To be fair, Purdue has looked good down the stretch.
Pick: Ohio State

#3 Michigan State vs. #6 Iowa (BTN, 9:00)
The Hawkeyes really gave it their all against the Spartans back in January before falling, and I expect a similar result.
Pick: Michigan State

Semifinals - MArch 16
#1 Indiana vs. #5 Michigan (CBS, 1:40)
Michigan will get revenge for that excruciating loss on Sunday (I still do not know how that tip-in did not go.
Pick: Michigan

#2 Ohio State vs. #3 Michigan State (CBS, 4:00)
I am not a huge believer in the Buckeyes and I've learned to never count out an Izzo club.
Pick: Michigan State

Final - March 17
#3 Michigan State vs. #5 Michigan (CBS, 3:30)
I think the Maize and Blue will run out of glass in their fourth game in four days and look for Sparty to take the tourney crown.
Pick: Michigan State
