2013 Atlantic Sun Tournament Predictions

I know you are in the process of purchasing your plane tickets to Macon to attend the 2013 Atlantic Sun Tournament this week, as this is traditionally the first conference tournament and thus gets the first team into March Madness. Therefore, as I have a stated goal of doing predictions for each and every conference tournament, mostly because I'm insane, partially because I love to do this stuff, here are my predictions for the Atlantic Sun Tournament.

Quarterfinals - March 6/7
#2 Florida Gulf Coast vs. #7 North Florida (3/6; ESPN3, 2:30)
Pick: Florida Gulf Coast

#1 Mercer vs. #8 Lipscomb (3/6; ESPN3, 8:30)
Pick: Mercer

#3 Stetson vs. #6 East Tennessee State (3/7; ESPN3, 2:30)
Pick: Stetson

#4 Jacksonville vs. #5 South Carolina Upstate (3/7; ESPN3, 8:30)
Pick: South Carolina Upstate

Semifinals - March 8
#1 Mercer vs. #5 South Carolina Upstate (CSS, 5:30)
Pick: Mercer

#2 Florida Gulf Coast vs. #3 Stetson (CSS, 8:30)
Pick: Florida Gulf Coast

Final - March 9
#1 Mercer vs. #2 Florida Gulf Coast (ESPN2, 12:00)
These two teams look pretty equal with identical records with Mercer having a one game edge on FGCU in conference. However, the Eagles have a much stronger offense across the board and I think they will ride that to get to March Madness on Mercer's home floor.
