Lee Corso calls a kid a "midget" and nearly kills a duck on Gameday

Instead of the usual "celebrity" guest picker (or even Desmond Howard), the guest picker on College Gameday today from Eugene was five-year Braden Pape, who was known for singing last year on the show. Pape did not agree on much with Lee Corso and Kirk Herbstreit (hell, he picked Baylor!), when he picked Yale to upset Harvard today in The Game, Corso uncorked his trademark line, with a twist. And later, he nearly killed a duck. These things actually happened. Let's go to the videotape.

Aaron Rodgers should shut up about his 60 Minutes piece

Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers was featured on 60 Minutes a few weeks ago. Normally, you would think that a player would not have any problems with what is essentially a puff piece about arguably the best quarterback in the NFL. But not only did Rodgers take exception, he still takes exception and the CBS News program is firing back.

The Miami Marlins are a joke

Josh Johnson is among many headed north of the border
Nobody is better at firesales than the Miami Marlins but what is transpiring right now with the Toronto Blue Jays certainly takes the case of one of the most absurd trades in recent memory and only helps to strengthen the notion that the franchise is a disaster and the guys who run the franchise are jokes.

2012 NFL Week 11 Picks

Is this the best rivalry in the NFL? Whenever the Baltimore Ravens and the Pittsburgh Steelers go at it, it is always fun and always has implications not just in the AFC North, but in the conference as a whole. Can the Steelers snap the two-game losing streak to their rivals or will the Ravens solidify their division lead? Hope about the other games this week? Here are my week eleven selections.

2014 & 2015 NCAA Tournament sites announced, MSG hosting 2014 East Regional

The NCAA has announced the second and third round sites plus the regional sites for the 2014 and the 2015 NCAA Tournaments and you may notice a pretty famous arena hosting the East Regional in 2014. Let's check out the sites, and I'll give you my analysis.

After crashing at Phoenix, are Jimmie Johnson's title hopes dead?

Chad Knaus looks on as crewmen attempt to repair a damaged 48
Lost amid all the craziness surrounding the wild brawl featuring Jeff Gordon and Clint Bowyer was the fact that because of some bad luck, the championship picture got a heck of a lot more clear, and it was not the contender that you would think it would be. After a right front tire went flat while he was coming out of turn four, Jimme Johnson crashed hard into the wall with less than 80 laps remaining that resulted in a 3nd place finish, leaving him 20 points behind points leader Brad Keselowski. As the Chase heads to its conclusion down at Homestead, does Johnson have any chance to get a sixth championship?

2012 NFL on FOX Announcers & Distribution: Week 11

There will be a singleheader this Sunday on FOX and most of the country will see a classic Black and Blue division rivalry with Packers heading to Motown to take on the Lions. Other folks not getting that game will either see Eagles-Redskins, Cardinals-Falcons, Saints-Raiders or Buccaneers-Panthers with the last two being late games. Continue reading for announcers and distribution.

2012 NFL on CBS Announcers & Distribution: Week 11

Our first flex of the 2012 NFL season was CBS moving Patriots-Colts to the late slot and thus most of the country will see a great quarterback matchup in Tom Brady and Andrew Luck. In the early slot, most will see Browns-Cowboys with others getting Jets-Rams, Bengals-Chiefs or Jaguars-Texans. The other game in the national window is Chargers-Broncos. Continue reading for announcers and distribution.

Watch the huge Jeff Gordon-Clint Bowyer brawl at Phoenix

What will be remembered from this race at Phoenix International Raceway? Will it be Jimmie Johnson blowing a tire and crashing, allowing Brad Keselowski to take a commanding points lead going into the season finale at Homestead? Or even Kevin Harvick winning the same weekend as he announced that he would leave Richard Childress Racing for Stewart Haas Racing after next season? Wrong and wrong; what will be remember from a wild and crazy race will be this huge brawl between Clint Bowyer and Jeff Gordon on the second to last lap. Let's go to the videotape.

2012 College Football Week 12 Picks

Hate to break it to you, mac, but Alabama was upset by Texas A&M in Tuscaloosa in a game that has thrown a monkey wrench in the 2012 college football season. Now the pressure is on the three remaining undefeated clubs in Oregon (versus Stanford), Kansas State (at Baylor), and Notre Dame (versus Wake Forest) as the door has now opened for one of them into the championship game. Alabama may be down at the moment but certainly not out, and how will they respond this week against Western Carolina? Or how about A&M against Sam Houston? It's my week 12 selections.

2012-13 Bowl Projections After Week 11

In case you missed it, this happened. Now, what does the bowl picture look like right now after Alabama has been upset? Could we see a non-SEC championship game matchup for the first time since 2005? Here are my bowl projections.
