Jimmy Kimmel combines Inside the NBA and Fat Albert

This clip is so damn funny. So last night on Jimmy Kimmel, the host noted how much he enjoys the crew of Inside the NBA, particularly because of how much they rag on each other. Since a common theme of the ragging is on Charles Barkley's weight, Kimmel decided to combine the audio with the legendary cartoon, Fat Albert. Comedic gold. Let's go to the videotape.

2012 MLB on FOX Announcers & Distribution: June 16th

Baseball Night in America, think that's another dig at NBC's Football Night in America? I certainly do, just as when FOX promotes their national window at America's Game of the Week.

Anyways, we got a quintet of games on Saturday night on your local FOX affiliate. The national game features one slightly disappointing club and one pitiful club as the Red Sox take on the Cubs at Wrigley. Other games are Reds-Mets, Orioles-Braves, Astros-Rangers and Marlins-Rays. Continue reading for announcing assignments as well as distribution splits.

2012 NBA Mock Draft: 4th Edition

Nothing like a little bit of back-and-forth somewhat between two top five prospects. After presumptive top pick Anthony Davis showed up at media availability at the NBA Draft Combine rocking the above shirt, saying "Check my stats," Thomas Robinson said that if "this is about stats, I'm the top pick" as well that he has "got to get one of those shirts." OK then. Here's my fourth mock draft.

Grading the 2011 NBA Draft, One Year Later

In about two weeks and change, the 2012 NBA Draft will be held, once again at the Prudential Center in Newark. Why don't we take a look at who did well at the NBA Draft, one year ago.

Who will win the 2012 NBA Finals?

I feel like this is the matchup that the fans, the league and ABC all wanted to see in the Finals from the get-go. It's a matchup of a team that seemingly nobody loves, who could do no right, the Miami Heat, and the team that seemingly nobody hates, who could do no wrong, the Oklahoma City Thunder. It's James and Wade vs. Durant and Westbrook. Who will come out on top?

Wikipedia fun with Steve Bernier

When you make a stupid penalty in trying to destroy Rob Scuderi's face, as Steve Bernier did midway through the first period of game 6 of the Stanley Cup Finals (video below), and then on the ensuing major penalty the Kings, who if they win will take the Stanley Cup, scored three goals to get a 3-0, people will edit your Wikipedia page in not so kind ways. Kinda like this (click for a better view):
And this:
There you go. Let's go to the videotape of why people are taking their anger to Wikipedia.

Did Jose Valverde throw a spitball?

Last night's Tigers-Reds game has been making headlines for not quite the right reasons. The topic at hand is not the Tigers' late comeback to rally to win the ballgame but rather if Tigers closer Jose Valverde threw a spitball to strike out Reds catcher Devin Mesoraco. Let's go to the videotape and then my analysis of whether it was indeed a spitball.

Bill Murray during a rain delay is absolutely tremendous

I guarantee that all of America would love to see the type of antics that Bill Murray would pull during a rain delay. And thankfully at a Charleston RiverDogs game, a single-A affiliate of the New York Yankees that is partly owned by the comedic legend, we found out and it is awesome. Let's go to the videotape.

Could Kurt Busch be sponsored by Jerry Springer?

It has been a trying year for Kurt Busch this season. After losing his ride after that well-publicized outburst at ESPN's Jerry Punch at Homestead in November, he found himself at Phoenix Racing, a team that has been around, has support from Hendrick Motorsports and even won a Cup race a few years back but has struggled to get sponsorship and has not had much sponsorship this season. He has had good runs but has had some bad luck. He had a little bit of a scuffle with Ryan Newman at Darlington and then he got suspended from the race this weekend after another outburst with Bob Pockrass of Sporting News. David Reutimann is filling in the 51 Chevrolet.

One thing that could brighten the prospects of Busch and his team this season would be finding sponsorship. And there is one potential sponsor that may be in the mix. That sponsor would be none other than the "Jerry Springer Show." I kid you not.

2012 NBA Finals TV Schedule

And here we are, at the end of a truncated NBA season with two clubs left in the fight for the Larry O'Brien Trophy. It has come down to the Heat and the Thunder. When will these clubs go at it in the NBA Finals? Here's the full TV schedule plus the announcing assignments.
