Watch some Boston clown dump beer on LeBron James last night

There's something about those classy Bostonian sports fans. So last night after LeBron James carried the Miami Heat with 45 points to a big win in game 6 of the Eastern Conference Finals to force a game 7 against Boston on Saturday night, some hooligan dumped some beer on James when he was in the tunnel heading to the locker room. Let's go to the videotape.

BREAKING NEWS: I'll Have Another is out of the Belmont Stakes

So much for history potentially being made (and another blog post going out the window) this Saturday at the Belmont Stakes as I'll Have Another will not run for the Triple Crown, his trainer Doug O'Neill confirmed this morning on the Dan Patrick Show due to an injury. The colt, who won both the Kentucky Derby and the Preakness Stakes, was attempting to be the first horse since Affirmed in 1978 and the 12th overall. But now, no more.

2012 MLB on FOX Announcers & Distribution: June 9th

You enjoy baseball in primetime? I do. You enjoy interleague baseball? Honestly, I don't but that's irrelevant as those two will be intertwined this Saturday night on FOX. There are five games on tap for what is being called Baseball Night in America. The Subway Series contest of Mets-Yankees will be the featured game that most of you will see, others will either see a West Coast showdown of Dodgers-Mariners, the Sunshine State battle of Rays-Marlins and a couple of Midwest games in Indians-Cardinals and Royals-Pirates. Continue reading for distribution splits as well as announcing assignments.

Can 'I'll Have Another' win the Triple Crown?

All eyes this Saturday will be on Belmont Park as it will be the 144th running of the Belmont Stakes and as I'll Have Another, winner of the Kentucky Derby and the Preakness Stakes, attempts to become the 12th winner of racing's Triple Crown and the first since Affirmed did it in 1978. Can the colt make history or will he fall short as so many have before him?

Do the Devils have any chance to force a Game 5 in the Stanley Cup Final?

Darryl Sutter and his Los Angeles Kings are one victory from taking their first ever Stanley Cup and if they win at home on Wednesday night, they will sweep out the New Jersey Devils and become the first champion to sweep their opponent in the Cup Finals since the Red Wings swept the Capitals in 1998 as well as the first ever eighth-seeded champs. With their backs against the wall, do the Devils have any chance to avoid the sweep and send the series back to Newark for a fifth game?

When Stephen A. Smith's SNL impersonator meets Stephen A. Smith...

Remember that tremendous, spot-on impersonation of Stephen A. Smith that was a web exclusive skit on Saturday Night Live? Besides proving that SNL still can put together some funny stuff, it proved that Jay Pharoah is awesome (here's some more with him impersonating Denzel Washington and Will Smith). So naturally, the producers on that disaster known as First Take brought on Pharoah for some NBA talk with the real Stephen A. as well as discussing that Stephen A. loved the skit. Pharoah then not only impersonates Smith right in his face, he also impersonates Charles Barkley and Eddie Murphy. Let's go to the videotape featuring minimal Skip Bayless (thank the lord).

Fan runs on field at Comerica Park, receives high five from Nick Swisher

You never know what to expect when a fan runs onto a field at a sporting event. Sometimes they steal the football from Brett Favre. Sometimes they get tasered. Sometimes they get chewed out by Dan Dierdorf. And in this most recent case, this afternoon at Comerica Park in the game between the New York Yankees and the Detroit Tigers, they want to get a high five from Nick Swisher. Let's go to the videotape.

Are Jeff Gordon's Chase hopes dead?

You wouldn't have known it when you look on paper at the FedEx 400 at Dover, in which Jimmie Johnson led 289 laps and won easily, but it was his teammate Jeff Gordon that had the finest car today. Gordon started the day in 14th and he chased down Johnson for many laps, finally taking the lead on lap 211. Gordon would lead thrice for 60 laps and was setting sail on Johnson, leading with 89 laps to go by five seconds. But on lap 324, Gordon chose to pit, hoping that his strategy to short-pit would allow him to cycle into the lead if there was no caution. But the caution flew on lap 340 for debris in turns 1 and 2, trapping Gordon a lap down. He was able to get his lap back but he was too far back to make much of a charge, finishing in 13th place.

It's been one of those seasons for Gordon, who right now sits in 21st place in the point standings, and with no wins this season thus far after 13 races, he is 94 points outside of the Chase. With 13 races to go before the Chase for the Sprint Cup field is set, can Gordon get there?
