The conspiracy theorists have a doozy with the results of the 2012 NBA Draft Lottery that have awarded the number one overall selection, and the rights to Kentucky star Anthony Davis, to the New Orleans Hornets. Those inclined could say that the team that was owned by the league but is in the process of being sold to Saints owner Tom Benson, who finally agreed to buy the basketball team after spurning the league for a year. Maybe the league made it so that the team would get Davis so that Benson would finally buy? Hmm.

Anyways, here's the 2012 NBA draft order.

Is Jamie Moyer's career over?

One of the feel good stories of the 2012 MLB season seems to be coming to an end with the news that the Colorado Rockies were designating 49-year-old Jamie Moyer for assignment. Moyer, who the Rockies signed before the season after the ageless lefty with the hot wife missed all of last season while recovering from Tommy John surgery, became the oldest pitcher to win an MLB game when he led the Rockies to a 5-3 victory over San Diego last month. So now is the seemingly never ending career of this pitcher about to end?

So much for the hilarity of Patrick Ewing coaching the Bobcats

So last night while I was still up for some reason, I tweeted out that I wanted the Charlotte Bobcats and incompetant owner Michael Jordan to hire Patrick Ewing for their vacant head coach just for laughs. I mean, since Jordan has hired so many of his unqualified cronies, why not another?

Well Adrian Wojnarowski must have read my tweet and decided to drop the bomb that MJ told Ewing that he would not get the job. So while that is another wish of mine that did not get granted, here is why I thought that it would have so funny if the woebegone Bobcats had hired Ewing.

Saying that White Sox announcer Hawk Harrelson is a homer is to say that Piers Morgan is British, it's simply stating the obvious. And he does not take lightly when umpires throw out members of his team, as proven by this legendary clip featuring ridiculous calls by Joe West. Thus, when earlier today at Tropicana Field home plate ump Mark Wegner questionably threw out Sox hurler Jose Quintana after he threw behind Ben Zobrist, Harrelson lost his mind. Funny story about Terrell Owens and that Indoor Football League action

So here is your obligatory Terrell Owens update. Remember when Owens, who had fallen pretty much completely off the face of this earth, signed with some team called the Allen Wranglers in some arena football league called the Indoor Football League and everything was all roses and he was given an ownership stake (Disclaimer: I also purchased an ownership stake in the Wranglers) and so this was going to be a success, right? Not so fast my friend.

Now why are the Clippers retaining Vinny Del Negro as head coach?

Vinny Del Negro will return as head coach of the Los Angeles Clippers next season. Yes, you read that correctly, Del Negro will still be running Flop Lob City for at least one more season. Now this is something that frankly, I do not get.
I have an honest question for whoever reads this post: does anybody actually think Del Negro is a good NBA coach? Anybody?

2012 Stanley Cup Finals Prediction

And now we are down to two clubs in the race for Lord Stanley's Cup. In one corner, the only team in the original expansion of the National Hockey League that has yet to win the Stanley Cup and is making their first appearance in the Final since 1993. In the other corner, arguably the most consistent hockey club in the last 25 years, gunning for their fourth Cup since 1995 but are also making their first Cup appearance since defeating Anaheim in 2003. Only one can win this Cup Final; who will win it all? This is the official B-Flo 360 prediction for the 2012 Stanley Cup Final.

The Miami Dolphins will be on Hard Knocks in 2012

Well we finally have the participant for Hard Knocks, the HBO/NFL Films documentary program that takes the viewers inside an NFL training camp, for the 2012 NFL season and it will be the Miami Dolphins, as announced today by their new head coach, Joe Philbin. This comes after being declined by seemingly every NFL team, even though the Jacksonville Jaguars and their 35 fans were fully willing to do it, including the team that was going to be on Hard Knocks before backing out, the Atlanta Falcons. Here's why this edition of Hard Knocks, while not star studded or as controversy driven as a certain division rival would have been, could be worth watching.

Steve Kerr and the "small bird" in James Harden's beard

Do you see the little black thing that is to the left of referee Joey Crawford's right shoe? That would be Crawford whistle, which fell out of his mouth while James Harden and Manu Ginobili battled for a loose ball in the Spurs' victory in game 1 of the Western Conference Finals on Sunday night. Well the great Steve Kerr of TNT thought it was something else, possibly something that came out of Harden's fascinating beard. Let's go to the videotape.

Dario Franchitti won the 2012 Indianapolis 500

On a record setting scorcher of a day at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, Dario Franchitti became the tenth racer to win three Indianapolis 500's. Franchitti and his Chip Ganassi Racing teammate Scott Dixon finished 1-2 and both seemed to have the strongest cars of the race, one that set a record for the most lead changes. Franchitti, who at one point was at the back of the pack after the first pit stop when he spun out on pit road, held off a hard charging Takuma Sato who pressed on the last lap to try to pass the Scot on the inside of turn one but spun out after getting squeezed, handing the victory to Franchitti. As previously mentioned, this is Franchitti's third victory of the Borg-Warner Trophy and owner Chip Ganassi his third. Continue reading for the complete finishing order.
