Down 2-0 to the Los Angeles Kings, the Vancouver Canucks are in serious trouble

Zack Cassion is not pleased, apparently.
Normally in the playoffs, you would assume that a top seed on a conference would have no problem with the eighth seed in that conference, the lowest seed that made the playoffs, just out of common sense. But not so in the Stanley Cup Playoffs and certainly not so in regards to the Vancouver Canucks, the defending Western Conference champions, who after a 4-2 loss tonight to the Los Angeles Kings are down 2-0 in the series. Here is why the Canucks are in a lot of trouble right now.

New Orleans Hornets purchased by Saints owner Tom Benson

Breaking news out of New Orleans as it appears that Saints owner Tom Benson has agreed to purchase the New Orleans Hornets for $338 million. And this means that the Hornets, who have been owned by the NBA since December 2010 when they were purchased by the league for $318 million from former owner George Shinn, are set to stay in New Orleans for the long haul, even though that was pretty much set in stone a month ago when the team and the state of Louisiana agreed to keep the team in New Orleans until at least 2024 in exchange for the state to pay for improvements to New Orleans Arena, where the Hornets play. This is a major story and it appears that finally the Hornets have some financial stability down in the Big Easy. And what is ironic of the purchase is several years ago after Hurricane Katrina, it was reported that Benson was looking to relocate the Saints permanently to San Antonio, which looked bad as the Hornets were set to return to New Orleans even after playing games in Oklahoma City. But the promise of a bright future is set in stone for the fans of the Hornets and that is always a good thing.

Bobby Petrino fired by Arkansas

Only a few weeks ago, Bobby Petrino was a rock star in Fayetteville. But now he has been fired as head coach of the University of Arkansas, reported less than an hour ago by Joe Schad. For those who do not know why this is (or why Petrino is in rough shape in the picture above) is because the Arkansas football coach was in a motorcycle accident off Highway 16 near a town known as Crosses, Arkansas. Initially he said he was riding solo but it was then reported that he was riding with a a 25-year old woman named Jessica Dorrell, whom he has hired as "student-athlete development coordinator." The 51 year-old Petrino, who is married, then admitted to having an inappropriate relationship with Dorrell, who is engaged to be married.

Nobody can really say they are surprised by this, this seemed to be inevitable because what Petrino did was inexcusable. But now the question is who will follow Petrino as coach of the Razorbacks, after the large amoutn  of success he had.

Watch Louis Oosthuizen's epic double eagle at the final round of the Masters

For only the fourth time in the 76 year history of the Masters, we had a double eagle, or an albatross if you will. It came courtesy of the South African Louis Oosthuizen, known for winning the 2010 Open Championship, at the second hole at Augusta to move into the lead at -10 on his second shot on the par five known as Pink Dogwood. Oosthuizen holed out from around 260 yards away. Magnificent stuff. Let's go to the videotape.
