2012 MLB Postseason: Wild Card Predictions

Now I'm not really a huge fan of the Wild Card set-up for the MLB Postseason, nevertheless it should mark for some exciting baseball on Friday evening. Four teams go in, only two will survive to get to the LDS. Who will advance?
TV Schedule

St. Louis Cardinals vs. Atlanta Braves (TBS, 5:07)
This is a matchup of two pitchers that are red-hot right now. Kyle Lohse has had an excellent season for St. Louis while Kris Medlen has been fantastic, especially over the past couple of months. But Lohse has been historically spotty in the playoffs throughout his career plus the team has struggled against Atlanta and on the road in 2012. I think Atlanta's tremendous bullpen will seal the deal for them.
Pick: Atlanta

Baltimore Orioles vs. Texas Rangers (TBS, 8:37)
Baltimore has had itself a great season, Buck Showalter has done a masterful job and the team's love of the longball will suit well itself for Rangers Ballpark. But I think this matchup does not bode well for the O's. They are sending Joe Saunders on the hill and he's pretty inconsistent. Plus Baltimore has not hit the Rangers well at all this year and they have yet to face Yu Darvish in 2012. I think those facts tilt the edge to Texas.
Pick: Rangers
