Kansas defeats North Carolina 80-67, advance to 2012 Final Four

After closing the game on a 12-0 run to claim the Midwest regional, Tyshawn Taylor and the Kansas Jayhawks were able to come out on top of the North Carolina Tar Heels for an 80-67 victory to advance to the 2012 Final Four down in New Orleans. The Jayhawks got great performances from Taylor (22 points, six rebounds, five steals), Thomas Robinson (18 points and nine rebounds) and Jeff Withey (15 points, eight rebounds and three clutch blocks) as well as some clutch shots from Elijah Johnson to lead them past the Kendall Marshall-less Tar Heels, who late in the ballgame really missed their star point guard.

Now the Jayhawks will take on the Buckeyes of Ohio State on Saturday with the winner advancing to the National Championship Game.
