LeBron's Return to Cleveland: Could it Happen?

LeBron James has left the door open to a potential return back to Cleveland when he can opt out of his contract after the 2013-14 season. But is it feasible? Let us ponder.

The Cavaliers look to have a stronger supporting cast potentially by the time James is available especially as Kyrie Irving looks like a star and Tristan Thompson looks to be a player down in the paint. But it would be a mistake for Cleveland to be thinking that James will be coming back, it is still two years down the road, and thus to clear space and stagnate its building process.

In my opinion, if James has won a championship with the Heat in the next two seasons, then this is a legitimiate possibility. While he will have fallen short of the seven NBA Finals championships that he, Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh proclaimed they would bring to South Beach, he still will have brought a title and finally won one for himself. If the club has not won a title by then, then it will look like James is bailing out again after falling short of the goal and will raise the questions of if he cannot win a title with a strong supporting cast of Wade and Bosh, will he ever do so.

Again, this is looking far into the future so we cannot provide a strong answer either way. But the great Adrian Wojnarowski wrote a interesting article on how this is all about how James just wants to be recruited, wanted by someone. And it makes sense when you think about it. But time will tell is James is actually being serious about returning to Cleveland.
