John Wall is not happy about where he was picked for the Rising Stars Challenge

We've talked here about the changes to what is now known as the Rising Stars Challenge and then how the rosters were selected by TNT/NBA TV analysts Charles Barkley and Shaquille O'Neal. Now one person was not happy where he was selected and that was Wizards point guard John Wall. Let's take a look at what he said.

"It's a joke to me," he was quoted as saying by Michael Lee of the Washington Post. "If they think there are 11 guys better than me, then that's their decision. But I know what I think in my mind and all I can do is go out and play basketball the way I know how to play."

Well I could go off on him being annoyed about what's supposed to be a fun exhibition but I do think he has a legitimate point to make. There's no way he is the 12th best player in that game, he's been better this year and overall in his career then at least the four that went ahead of him. Playing for a joke team hurts there (although Kemba Walker is on even more of a joke team and went ahead of him).

And you have to applaud for finding something to use as extra motivation to play even better than he has, which is not easy to do when you are playing for a joke team like this one.
