ESPN College Basketball 2011-12 Announcers

College hoops is such a major part of ESPN going into the spring and thus, they have released their announcer pairings for the 2011-12 season. Note that as due to the NBA Lockout, we will see Mike Breen and Jeff Van Gundy, the lead NBA crew for ESPN, will be calling some non-conference games. And Mike Tirico will be calling Big Ten games on Tuesday nights as well. Dan Shulman and Dick Vitale remain the lead crew. Here are the commentator pairings for ESPN.

The Best Technical Foul You Will Ever See

So the students at NAIA school John Brown University have a little tradition in their home opener and it's to draw a technical foul in possibly the most awesome way possible. Let's go to the videotape.

It's like Mischief Night without the nightsticks. And who doesn't love that?

Kevin Durant Playing Flag Football? YES

Yep, players are indeed bored due to the NBA lockout, which may be ending soon or may not be, who the hell knows. So Kevin Durant was looking for some flag football action, and hooked up with some kids holding a match and got in the mix. Let's go to the videotape.

2011 NFL Midseason Awards

Well is it about midseason of the 2011 NFL season and it feels like it just started. But it's been exciting thus far no doubt and so who are the award winners of the season thus far? Here's my take.

2011 MLB Hot Stove: Where Will the Top Free Agents Sign?

Would you have it that MLB action actually heats up once the season commences? Well that's actually debatable but it is hot stove season starting Thursday when the top free agents hit the open market. Where do I think the top free agents sign for 2012?

2011 NFL Week 9 Picks

There have been three consecutive mediocre games on Sunday Night Football but there is hope as one of the top rivalries in football, the Baltimore Ravens and the Pittsburgh Steelers, face off in which should be a physical and violent showdown as the meetings of these two clubs have been in the past. And Pittsburgh has the added incentive after Baltimore crushed them in the season opener. Will they get their revenge?
I'll pick that and all other matchups in my week 9 picks, coming at you right now.

2011-12 College Football Bowl Predictions after Week 9

It was another crazy week in college football with some clubs suriving and getting key victories (like Andrew Luck and Stanford) while a couple of surprising top ten teams (Clemson and Kansas State) saw losses that may leave them at fluke status. How does the bowl picture look as of right now? Why don't we take a look friends.

Could Houston Receive a BCS Bid?

We could have another club in position to break into the BCS at the end of the season besides the Broncos from Boise State and this club is Houston. The Cougars, led by the historically prolific Case Keenum in coach Kevin Sumlin's wide open offense, are sitting at 8-0 and 13th in the BCS standings and if they win out they will be in the top 12 and in position for an at-large bid. But would they get one?

2011 NFL on Fox Announcers & Distribution: Week 9

Joe Buck is back America after calling the MLB playoffs on Fox. I'm one of the few that likes Buck but I know most people will have this reaction. Alas he'll be back with Troy Aikman and Pam Oliver this week in Foxborough as the Giants come to town to take on the Patriots in the lead Fox game in the national window. The other games in the 4:15 window are Packers-Chargers and Rams-Cardinals while the games in the early window are 49ers-Redskins, Seahawks-Cowboys, Buccaneers-Saints and Falcons-Colts. Continue reading for announcing assignments and distribution splits for this week's games on the Fox network.

2011 NFL on CBS Announcers & Distribution: Week 9

And yes I did open this post with a picture of Scott Pelley. Anyways only five games for the NFL on CBS this Sunday and it's a singleheader window as well. The games you may see are Jets-Bills, Browns-Texans, Dolphins-Chiefs (1:00), Browns-Raiders or Bengals-Titans (4:05). Dick Stockton Playing the Piano Will Make Your Day

Now this may appear that it's just any old Fox Sports NFL preview, this one features a little piano action from Dick Stockton, which is awesome in many ways. Unfortunately he's just an awful announcer now but can play some meaty piano for ya.

Watch the Percy Harvin-Captain Munnerlyn Scuffle

Looks like that when Harvin turned around and Munnerlyn was there then Munnerlyn drove him out of bounds and the scuffle reached the bench and then concluded. Good stuff, unless you don't like to pay fines, like those two probably will.
