We Need Takeru Kobayashi at the Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Contest

So as always, the Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Contest will be held on July 4th but unfortunately, one of the top contenders will not be there once again. For the second straight year, Takeru Kobayashi will not be at the competition, leaving Joey Chestnut as the all-but guaranteed winner. For the sake of competition and rivalry, we need Kobayashi going at it against Chestnut.

Plotting a Space Jam Remake

Arguably the greatest film in the history of cinema, Space Jam was not like any other sports movie ever seen. Never before had a basketball film stretched the limits of the imagination, as well as logic. But how would Space Jam look if it were remade in 2011? Here's my plot for the new, and probably not improved, Space Jam.

We are about at the halfway point in the 2011 MLB season and already my preseason predictions do not look pretty. That said, here are my award winners at the midseason point.

End in Sight for the NFL Lockout?

It appears that there may be light in the end of the tunnel in terms of the ongoing NFL lockout. Peter King broke on Tuesday afternoon that NFL commissioner Roger Goodell will speak at the NFLPA's rookie symposium today in Bradenton, Florida. Now this may seem like insignificant news to the common NFL fan, one must look deep into this story to find the reasons in which that progress is being made.
