Insane Crash at Road America during Grand-Am Race

You won't believe this insane crash at Road America today during the Grand-Am race. Gunter Schaldach lost his brakes at the end of the frontstretch, which entering turn one is downhill, and took out Joe Foster from behind. Schaldach's car ended up clearing the fence and down the hill past the fence. Fortunately, no one was hurt.

2011 NBA Draft: Best 2nd Round Picks

The NBA Draft was held last night and I always enjoy watching the second round simply because it really separates those who know what they are doing and those that do not. A bunch of solid players were on the board only for teams to takes guys that barely played one year at UConn over a year ago or guys that average 0.7 points per game in the NBDL.
Regardless, here are the best picks of the second round.

Canadian Soccer Goalie Scores Epic Goal, Ties Game

In the Canada-England U-17 FIFA World Cup match, the Canadians were down one in the 87th minute only to tie the game thanks to an absurd and freak goal by their own goalie, Quillan Roberts. The game ended in a draw. Let's go to the videotape.

MLB on Fox Schedule: June 25th

Fox Sports presents another exciting edition of Fox Saturday Baseball with four more interleague slates. Most of you will watch the Mets take on the Rangers while some may see Indians-Giants, Nationals-White Sox (why that game is still on Fox I have no idea) and Angels-Dodgers. Continue reading to find out who will be calling these matchups and which one you can see in your neck of the woods come Saturday.

Minnesota Timberwolves Shouldn't Draft Derrick Williams

The 2011 NBA Draft is Thursday night at Prudential Center and it seems like a foregone conclusion that the Minnesota Timberwolves will select Arizona forward Derrick Williams. And in my mind, it would be a mistake. Why?

Dwight Howard Looks To Be On The Outs In Orlando

Star Magic center Dwight Howard has made a couple of eye-opening statements to reporters in Europe, where is on a promotional tour. He said that Stan Van Gundy did not utilize Gilbert Arenas properly as well as saying that he wants to be more involved in personnel decisions (same article as above). Both of these statements now make it seem all the more likely that Howard has no future in Orlando.

Time For Frank McCourt To Go

As expected, MLB Commissioner Bud Selig has rejected the television deal between the Los Angeles Dodgers and Fox that has been regarded as the lifeline for embattled Dodgers owner Frank McCourt. The 17 year, $3 billion deal (widely considered to be below market value) was rejected due to the fact that too much money would be funneled away from the club as McCourt would use it to be able to keep up payroll.
This is surely a death knell for McCourt and has left him only one option, to sell the team and not let the door hit him on the way out.

John Wall Should Never Throw a Baseball Again

A few days ago, Washington Wizards point guard John Wall threw out the first pitch before an Orioles-Nationals game at Nationals Park. It just might be the worst pitch I have ever seen (and I have pitched before, with disastrous results). To the videotape.

The Marlins Can't be Serious About Bringing Back Jack McKeon

Well the Florida Marlins, that highly dysfunctional baseball club that nobody realizes is dysfunctional thanks to clowns like the McCourts, are in market for a new manager after Edwin Rodriguez resigned yesterday. And Jon Heyman of SI.com reports that one of the men being considered by the Marlins' brass is former Marlins skipper Jack McKeon, who led the club to the World Series title in 2003. But despite his former success with the club, bringing "Trader Jack" as manager is truly insane.
UPDATE: Look at what just happened.
