NHL Heritage Classic: Potential Future Locations

The Heritage Classic last season was a big success for the league as the outdoor game played at McMahon Stadium in Calgary between the Flames and Canadiens not only was sold out, but did great ratings in Canada and in the United States despite no American teams involved. Now as it will be an annual event, here's a look at the potential future sites for Heritage Classics in the future.

Alex Burrows Bites Patrice Bergeron Video

In Game 1 of the 2011 Stanley Cup Finals between the Boston Bruins and the Vancouver Canucks, Patrice Bergeron and Alex Burrows got involved in a little scuffle. As the referee tried to break it up, America got to learn than Burrows is not afraid to use his teeth.

MLB on Fox Schedule: June 4th

Shaquille O'Neal Retires

The most dominating center of the past two decades has announced that he is hanging his sneakers up. Shaquille O'Neal, after an illustrious nineteen year career in which he now finishes as the fifth leading scorer in NBA history as well as being one of the most colorful people in sports, has seen his great career come to a close. The NFL Needs to Revamp the Blackout Rules

For almost as long as the NFL has been around, there have been blackout rules. Before 1973, a game would not be shown in the home market regardless of whether or not it was a sellout (for example, residents of New York City could not watch the Giants play under any circumstances. Not even for a Championship Game). In 1973, the rules were slightly changed to where the game can be shown locally only if the game was sold out 72 hours before kickoff (although teams can request an extension). But I think it is time for the rules to be updated again. 

Rampage Jackson...Classy As Always

As we all know, Quenton "Rampage" Jackson has never been a stand-up fellow, a real class act, and he proved it yet in an interview with MMA reporter Karyn Bryant. Just a thought, but I have never considered motorboating a reporter as something that is acceptable, but what do I know?

MLB.com Allowing Some Video Embedding..Wait, What?

For years, Major League Baseball has fought tooth and nail to prevent embedding of their videos for websites and blogs like this one to post. MLB wanted to protect their product but at the cost of preventing people from watching it, which has caused it to fall behind the NBA and the NHL in popularity amongst the youth. But now, MLB has allowed embedding of some videos (but not highlights yet). I mean, you want all videos to be embeddable, but beggars can't be choosers.

Kevin Harvick Wins the Coca-Cola 600

In NASCAR's longest race of the season, it was decided at the end by fuel mileage. Dale Earnhardt Jr. was so close to getting his first win in a few seasons when he ran out of gas, thus Kevin Harvick, who has come out of nowhere so many times this season to win, was the one who ended up in Victory Lane at Charlotte Motor Speedway. This is Harvick's third win of the 2011 season and his first points victory at Charlotte. The top ten was Harvick, David Ragan, Joey Logano, A.J. Allmendinger, Marcos Ambrose, Earnhardt Jr., Regan Smith, David Reutimann, and Denny Hamlin.
