The NFL Needs to Revamp the Blackout Rules

For almost as long as the NFL has been around, there have been blackout rules. Before 1973, a game would not be shown in the home market regardless of whether or not it was a sellout (for example, residents of New York City could not watch the Giants play under any circumstances. Not even for a Championship Game). But I think it is time for the rules to be updated again.

In fact, here are some examples.

This is Harvick's third win of the 2011 season and his first points victory at Charlotte. The top ten was Harvick, David Ragan, Joey Logano, A.J. Allmendinger, Marcos Ambrose, Earnhardt Jr., Regan Smith, David Reutimann, and Denny Hamlin.
