2011 Wimbledon Preview & Predictions

The top talents in the world of tennis hit up the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club as The Championships, Wimbledon get underway tomorrow. Here is my preview of this year's tournament and who I think will end up as the winners.
The three headed monster of Nadal-Djokovic-Federer will provide this year's winner, I feel I can say with confidence. But it's not easy to say who the favorite is. Nadal has not lost a match at the All England Club since 2007. Djokovic hasn't had a lot of success at Wimbledon but still has only lost once since Thanksgiving weekend and that was in a beauty with Federer at the French Open. And while Federer has lost some of his dominance, he's still a six-time champion. All of that said, it's very hard to see somebody winning besides Nadal but I'm gonna predict an upset of sorts and go with Federer. I think he showed at Roland Garros he's still on the same level as the elite of the sport and he's determined to prove that he's still got it to be a Major champion.
Pick: Roger Federer

As usual, the women's field at Wimbledon is much more wide open than the men's field. Top seed Caroline Wozniacki is coming off a disappointing outing at the French Open and is not great when she plays on grass. Vera Zvonareva has taken a major step forward in her career but I do not think she's ready to be a Wimbledon champion just yet. French Open champ Li Na has played well at Wimbledon before. Maria Sharapova has been ever so inconsistent but she is still the most recent Wimbledon champion not named Williams. And Serena has only played twice since the last edition of Wimbledon. I'm tempted to go with Na but Serena Williams is just too good at Wimbledon. I think she'll get an emotional victory.
Pick: Serena Williams
