2011 Stanley Cup Finals: Keys to Game 7

This is what we live for in the Stanley Cup Playoffs: Game 7's. And we've another one on tap on Wednesday night at Rogers Arena in Vancouver to decide the victor of Lord Stanley's Cup. Will the Bruins win their first Cup in almost 40 years? Or will the Canucks claim their first Cup? Here are the keys to the game plus a prediction.

  • Keep up the momentum from the destruction that was Game 6
  • Generate early goals to force Vancouver into panic mode
  • Generate some offense on the power play
  • Don't force Tim Thomas to be the savior
  • Keep the pressure on Roberto Luongo
  • Don't let Boston get ahead early
  • Get Roberto Luongo comfortable
  • Generate a lot of offense
  • Don't get rattled by the physical presence of Boston
  • Get the crowd into the game
I have been incredibly impressed in how awesome Boston has played at home. But one cannot deny how much trouble they have generating offense when playing in Vancouver's house. Therefore, I think Luongo will play great, it will be a close game throughout, and that the Vancouver Canucks will win the Stanley Cup.
