What is Rashard Mendenhall Thinking?

I'm completely dumbfounded by a couple of tweets from Steelers running back Rashard Mendenhall, both of which regarding the death of Osama bin Laden (both are pictured above). First he said that "We'll never know what really happened. I just have a hard time believing a plane could take down a plane demolition style." Then he shows some sympathy for bin Laden (I'm not making this up folks). "What kind of person celebrates death. It's amazing how people can HATE a man they never have heard speak. We've only heard one side."
I proceed to lose my mind over these comments after the jump.
I'm in Bill Maher's boat in that I have a hard time giving serious thought to people who believe in conspiracy theories regarding the attacks on 9/11. How in the world can someone truly believe that the Twin Towers were not taken down by airplanes fully loaded in jet fueld WHEN THEY WERE SHOWN ON TV. It has been said countless times before that a plane loaded in jet fuel can be used as a weapon. It's completely inane that people feel that way.
As for feeling sympathy for bin Laden because we have never heard him speak, Mendenhall's ignorance is truly startling. Not only have we seen videos of bin Laden admitting to orchestrasting the horrific acts on 9/11, HE HAS BRAGGED ABOUT IT. He was extremely proud of the attacks his arrogance was peeling out of the television screens when the clips were shown. So I do not know where Mendenhall has been the last nine years or so but I'm stunned he does not know these things.
Now I'm not a violent person and I do not wish the death of a lot of people. But I refuse to have ANY SYMPATHY for those who not only killed innocent people, but to do it on the scale that al Qaeda did on 9/11. And to even brag about is just sick.
Either Rashard Mendenhall is a complete moron, needs to do his research, or has seriously questionable morals. Does he realize that he plays football in a town not that far from where United 93 crashed?
To take a line from Keith Olbermann, Rashard Mendenhall is today's Worst Person.
