Not Even the NBA Playoffs Can Mess With Oprah

Let's say the Chicago Bulls finish off the Atlanta Hawks in Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals and the Miami Heat close out the Boston Celtics either tonight in Game 5 or in Game 6, then Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals would be on Monday, May 16. However, the United Center has been booked for that day for the tapings of one of the final episodes of the Oprah Winfrey Show. Who would have to budge? Think again.
Some might be outraged by this. But I personally would take this one in stride. Oprah is a Chicago icon, arguably the only person that compete with her fame would be His Airness in the Windy City, and the ending of her iconic program is major news. And besides, moving the game from Monday to Sunday night is not that big of a deal as both teams would have gotten at least a day off before the opening game of the East Finals.
And who else can pull something like this off? Ellen DeGeneres? Please...
