Jimmie Johnson Wins the Aaron's 499 at the Line

Well at least the dreaded two car drafting packs that has been the norm at the restrictor plate races this season resulted in a great finish as they were three wide at the start/finish line and in what tied the closes finish in NASCAR history, .002 seconds, Jimmie Johnson edged Clint Bowyer for the victory, his second at Talladega Superspeedway and his first of the season. Johnson was pushed by Dale Earnhardt Jr. throughout the entire race and he then gave the checkered flag to Junior after he was pushed by his Hendrick Motorsports teammate to the victory. All four Hendrick cars finished in the top eight. (Click here to watch the finish).
